    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Did you just go down there and just wait???? You have to call Greyhound first to make sure the box is there. Greyhound does NOT guarentee an arrival time. They seem to always be a day behind. The way RodentPro pack there rats, they will still be frozen. I have never had a problem with them thawing and I live in Los Angeles were it gets to 100 in the Valley.

It is Rodentpro's choice on which delivery method they use. I imagine if you specifically asked for a different method, they may do it differently. :shrug01:
 
Did you happen to order some common sense with this RodentPro order? Talk about jumping the gun. You don't go off and label a company a bad guy simply because you think you're having issues. RodentPro has a solid reputation in this industry and when mistakes have happened they have always, to my best knowledge, made things right. Why don't you give them a chance first before labeling them a bad guy. Pathetic.

I definately would not worry. Even if a mistake was made, it should still arrive solid as a rock. And like others mentioned, they will stand behind any mistakes they make. I am placing an order right after typing this. I wouldn't worry too much.

NO thats wrong,it says on their web site their" choice of shippers are",
with the shippers listed.Not its their choice how to ship.
When i place my order the shipping prompt comes up when ordering as to how " I " want it shipped i have alwasy chosen to have ups ground deliver 2-3 days.
and the shipping also has to do when the product was ordered .

I would have to think that its cheaper to have it shipped by bus.

When you order from Rodent Pro, you have two choices of shipping: Fedex or Greyhound Express.

Fedex is what we are all used to in terms of guaranteed arrival time, tracking info, etc. The cost is based on the weight of the box, and can get very expensive.

Greyhound Express is similar to USPS priority shipping. It takes three to five business days, there is no tracking available, and no quaranteed arrival time.

The advantage is that it is vastly cheaper. The boxes they ship Greyhound in are literally twice the size of the Fedex boxes. They actually put two of the Fedex size boxes inside one big one for Greyhound shipping. And the shipping is a flat $65 per box (that may have gone up since Feb though).

My order in February was two full Greyhound boxes, and the cost was $130.

If I'd had it shipped Fedex, it would have been 4 boxes, and the cost would have been almost $300.

With the Fedex shipping, Rodent Pro guarantees delivery time, and frozen product.

With Greyhound, they only guarantee that the product will show up within 5 days, but that it will arrive frozen. As I said, my Feb order arrived on the 5th day (Greyhound called me at 7am to let me know it was there), but every last rat was still frozen solid.

Oops, I just looked at their site, they aren't using Fedex anymore, they're using UPS AirService. And the cost of Greyhound has gone up to $70 per box.

Cathy, if you go to "get a quote online" on Rodent Pro's site, you pick the product you want (rats, mice) and enter your zip code.

It then allows you to order whatever quantities you want, and shows you what percentage of box space you've used for both UPS and Greyhound. That way you can completely fill the box. The default shipping method is UPS, but when actually go to place the order, you can change to Greyhound Express.

I just did a dummy order of 100 rat pinks, 250 rat pups and 80 XXXL rats (Jumbos). UPS shipping on that order is four boxes for a total of $322 S&H. The same quantity shipped by Greyhound is $210 S&H for three boxes, one of which is half full. So, you'd save $110 shipping with Greyhound.
 
IMO, this has nothing to do with Rodent Pro. Whether you chose greyhound or not, greyhound shipping sucks and is usually a hassle the first few times you try it out. The advantage is it's a lot cheaper to order a large number of rodents as already stated.

The first time I ordered via greyhound I was told it would arrive at a certain day and time. Drove down there, had to wait an hour while the guy was at lunch. He finally shows up, no package. It didn't arrive, and greyhound has no tracking system. His advice, go home and wait to be called, it may or may not show up.

It didn't that day, or the next. It did the following day and I got a call to come pick up my order. This was not the rodent shipping companies fault. This is what you deal with when you deal with greyhound shipping. Now that I understand the system, it goes fairly smoothly.

IMO, this should have never been brought to the BOI. What's the rush? Give RP time to respond. There is nothing they can do anyway. The package will get there.. eventually. Whether you post this the day after the problem, or two weeks later, the info will still be there. You should always give a company time to respond before complaining about it here. A company the size of RP is not always going to be around to take calls. They are busy doing what they do. It's frustrating believe me I know. But certainly not a reason to bring it here.

I agree with Griz. Take a breath people before you rush to the BOI.

Considering the source, RodentPro is in good company. After all, the OP has made bad guy posts about Wes Pollock and Jamie Glass without anything to back it up, and a good guy about Scott Sanchez. Consider that batting average.

Clayton Randall McCartney fom Lewiston, ID is starting to annoy me with his overall uselessness and ability to tell 2 completely different stories about one prior (probably imaginary) transaction...

I wouldn't believe a single word out of this character's mouth. I would assume everything he's posted so far to be a blatent lie and I find it absolutely deplorable that he had the audacity to start a BS thread about such a reputable company as RodentPro, though it will probably not do them any real damage over time, the title of the thread certainly caught my attention and I thought just for a second... cound it be true?

Then I came to my senses..

It's useless threads like this that get started by brainless idiots with an internet connection that can make the BOI a confusing place...

I did some digging and found an obvious lie... two stories about the same one Terry/Scott Sanchez transaction, one VERY positive and one VERY negative... is this grounds for having this brainless individual banned/suspended from posting? May he be violating a punnishable rule this time?

I ordered 100 large rats and never was emailed. I finally called and was told they were shipped monday for today.I have had my wife there all day and they never arrived at the time stated by rodentpro. I fear I am getting another box of smelly rodents

Didn't happen. Rodent Pro only gives an estimated time and doesn't guarantee any time with Greyhound. You said you had your wife there all day. Not necessary. Just call. If they come one day off it isn't anything to worry about. The order will still be rock solid. You more than jumped the gun here. Down right nutty if you ask me. You haven't talked to them yet but It's still the same day that you received your estimated date.

LOL. We were thinking of the same points. I will add that this poster has shown total disregard for other members situations and has made some hideous posts towards them.

This is what he typed to a member of our community that was scammed.

lol, the past very funny. Okay I sent money to rodentpro can back that up and can back up my story so back off on this one people. Maybe I am right for a change. Lets see a warning to sellers. I pay payments on animals on the day I say I am going to even paying them off early if possible. Ask sam gurrea, blaze garret, scott sanchez, jeff ronne, michael powel,and pete kahl to name a few. Never a bad deal on my end I send money orders weekly for animals, caging, animal food. I posted a bad guy post on scott cause he acted like I was going to get nuthin, then he sent the snake and it appeared healty and I didnt notice mites for weeks hence the diff post... If you sell a snake to me what I promise is you will get the money and the snake is taken care of properly. About rodentpro I got a call with the info to be at the bus stop and I was there for every bus. Also I got a number that is worthless and I posted the order as plain as day. People should stop attacking me. I don't rip people off and don't plan on it. 99% percent of you don't have a clue on these boards you attack like your tough guys. Are we getting anywhere picking on me or anyone else. NO! Its like you guys all have no lives but to pick on people. I state facts and get harrassed... Some comments are mean but so are yours people. Lets see some guy even said something mean and inplied a more the friends relationship with another member did he get in trouble or banned. NO you all chose your favs and stay by them. Hey this fella, no matter what the past present or future holds, has an issue that he is trying to resolve on Board OF Inquiry that is the intent. To resolve a single issue. This thread again (as it always seems to do) dives right past the point into the gold mine of haggling ,character, discrepancies etc. He is a herper that needs again NEEDS resolve for his animals food source, considering his understanding and experience and the way we like to jump on a wounded animal hoping for some scrap of self satisfaction at someone else's exspense we are no better than the person that uses terms like sand person. He would like to get resolve and some satisfaction to provide a food source for his snakes. This is the point of this PARTICULAR thread, so let's help this fella the best we can and let him go on enjoying the same passion that we all share.

Actually, he doesn't really have an issue yet....that is the point. There is no guaranteed delivery date/time. The product is with the shipping agency, NOT with the company he ordered from. He is labeling Rodent Pro as a bad company with which to do business, stating he is EXPECTING the product to be unacceptable. Since the items he ordered WERE shipped, he should have waited to post until he received them and found them to be unacceptable. Ideally, even then, he should contact the company to try for some resolution before making a bad guy post...As several people have stated, Rodent Pro is very good about correcting the occasional errors. Regardless of his past here, or anybody's feelings about him, he jumped the gun with this thread.
 
RodentPro treats me well.
Greyhound does not.

I bought a bus ticket online - and they charged me for doing it on the web rather than taking the time of their service representative at the station.

But beyond that - I get to the station, and the ticket counter was closed. Apparently when I pay the extra money to buy online - I still have to go down when the ticket counter is open to pick up the ticket - even if my bus leaves at midnight - which, um, kind of defeats the purpose of paying $4.00 for the right to buy a ticket online.

The bus driver let me on anyway - but he said he wasn't suppose to.

Anyway - that demonstrates the lack of intelligence at greyhound.

Rodentpro though always treats me right.
Definitely good guys.
