Ok...... Here is our dilemma..... I am getting An email from a moderator because of your screw up... I am simply looking out for the ENTIRE Herping Community, Knowing the history that you have.... Also, How would I know what you look like behind your computer.... I could care less what race you and your wife are....... All of your craigslist ads are listed under "RON" which you have said isn't your name.... So as another infraction for Fauna... You have provide a false name... which under the Regs of this site, your account can be terminated...... I have been in this hobby and on this site for a long time..... Just because another member has a TRUE sunglow, you have no right to belittle him for backing up a fellow breeder that knows the morph, he is simply backing my case...... As for the moderators I apologize for using foul language, and will make sure it doesn't happen again... I am done with this garbage, and will return to my daily routine with this site, as well as Daily Flagging of all Craigslist ads you produce and hope that I have prevented someone from being ripped off, not only with this boa, but as well with the "False Aberrant Water Snake that is listed" Thanks Again, and As said before, Enjoy your evening...

If you read the post this isn't about a transaction... Its about false posting of animals... and a major attitude problem... I would never do business with someone like this. I am simply adding this to the BOI because the moderator said to do so... and since some members that originated this finding have been banned, I took the liberty to back them up.

Since this ad has progressed the same way that the OP's other ad has...I'll post here what I posted there.

The classifieds are for selling/buying/trading item(s). This is NOT the place for the type of commentary that has been posted within this ad (this goes for OP as well). Thats what the BOI is for...utilize it, please (we insist).

If you're inquiring about this animal, then you may post. If you have anything else to say...please refrain from doing so and move on to the next ad.

Posting various rants from ads really has nothing to do with the intended purpose of the BOI. Sure, a seller's behavior is a consideration, and Ron certainly didn't win any customers with his...but all the other peoples' posts that you included in your opener were inappropriate as well. As you pointed out, it got two of them banned.
 
Now, you've posted links to Craigslist entries...that's anonymous third party quotation, since there are no names attached to the commentaries (and, even if we were to accept that statecollegeherps was the person posting, you'll notice that he has steadfastly refused to put his name in his profile, so its still anonymous).

Now, if you want to repost this about Ron mislabeling animals, other dishonesty, unhealthy animals, etc; that's fine...but just to rehash a bunch of posted bickering that didn't belong there in the first place isn't going to fly.

At least the guy confirmed that its not A Coral Sunglow, and that it is in fact a true plain old albino boa... This was my point, I wanted him to own up to the fact that he was wrong. I now rest my case.

I apologize...poor, VERY poor wording on my part. The gist of what I was trying to convey was..."take it elsewhere...we insist" ("we insist" was meant as a general warning for anyone considering continuing that conversation within that ad). I should NOT have specified the BOI as the "elsewhere."

Often times when ads get out of hand its due to "he sent me a dead animal/these pics are stolen/he's misrepresenting that animal/etc..." type situations. In this case...without thoroughly reading the ads (I went straight to the off-topic/profanity laced/name calling posts to address them), I ASSumed that's what we were dealing with and regurgitated that generic advice (BAD advice).

Wow, here I am backtracking on the BOI. No more excuses...I don't blame you for taking it that way, Justin. Re-reading it, that's exactly the message that I'm getting out of it too. Rookie mistake :shrug01:...it wont happen again :eek:.
 
I am making this post to try and educate people. That is my main reason. I also have a few things to say here. I feel that it is justifiable. This is not ment to upset any Mods, and I am sorry if it does.

First off the snake in question is an albino boa and not a sunglow. It does not appear to me that it is even a coral as he claims. I think his behavior was very childish and completely uncalled for. I think for the most part, people were only trying to help him so he could advertise his animal for what it really is.

Here is a reply he made in his thread to another member. I believe this was very childish, and nowhere did anyone say a single thing about anyone's color, religion, nationality, and so on. In my opinion, I believe that most people could care less what color a person is, etc., we just want to see animals listed for sale described for what they are. We look out for each other as a community, so when someone comes along and misrepresents their animal, people bring it to their attention. Was it misrepresented intentionally, I don't know, I do have an opinion, but I will refrain from giving it at this time.

I have taken one of his pics and did some modifying to try and educate people on the difference between an albino, and a sunglow.

This is his pic of the snake in question. You can clearly see it is an albino, and not a sunglow.

Here is a pic of a sunglow to show the difference.

A regular albino boa is an albino normal boa. The white rings around the tail blotches represent the black rings that you would see on a normal boa. Because it's an albino, the rings are white.

A sunglow boa is an albino hypo boa. The typical hypo boa only has the black rings around the tail blotches near the tip of the tail, so it's only the first few. The rest of the tail blotches on a hypo boa do not have the black rings around them, because a hypo boa lacks black. So on a sunglow boa, you will only see white rings on the tail blotches closest to the tail, because that is the only area of a hypo's tail that has black rings around the tail blotches.

I would never buy from someone who represents themselves the way he has. I think he was very unprofessional, and imature.
