    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I don't know if it is part of the terrritory or because I am a woman but I am constantly changing furniture around and my reptile room is no exception.

Because I want my little reptile guys to have a nice home, I am stacking cages up so there is more room for more cages and each of them can have a bigger place to live.

The rest of the Vision cages I bought will hopefully be arriving next week (Fedex gave my seller the runaround, apparently) and they will go against one wall and I think look very nice as well as providing comfortable homes for some of my reptiles.

How high do y'all stack your cages? An ordinary ceiling is eight feet high, I was thinking of stacking to six feet, what do you think?

All my cages are stacked 6 feet high. It actually makes life very easy when cage cleaning time comes. That top cage is perfect height for me to clean without bending!

Have fun with those new cages!

I would stop at 6' as well. Anything higher, and you'll need a ladder to clean it out!

Up until a few months ago, all of my reptiles were in a room that measured 4'6" by 20'6". Sure it had a lot of wall space, but when I had stacks of racks and cages on both walls, it got really cramped. Now they have all been relocated to a much larger area, which was a lot more of an undertaking than I had anticipated.

Six feet is still as high as I can stack them for two reasons. First of all, they're all in the basement, and the ceiling is only a little more than 7' high, and there are ducts and pipes all over. Besides that though, I'm only 5'10", so being able to reach or see anything over six feet high doesn't work too well.

I'm constantly rearranging things as I upgrade the reptiles housing and start new projects. Pretty soon here, I think I'll have things nailed down pretty well and I'll hopefully have less powertools laying all around! :raspberry
