In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

how much are rosehair tranantulas worth? Are they hard to keep? Are they agressive or bite?

I know I know your thunk man is this person bumb or what!!!!

I am a complete nivice when it comes to inverts and some one has offered to give me 2 and I want to know how to take care of them.

Rose hairs

First off your no bum

As for rosies , they are pretty easy to take care of.
mid 70's and a place to hide will do [coconut half, clay pot ...]
The hide box should have damp sphagnum in it or the spider can be put in a tank with enough substrate to burrow.
A dish with a wet sponge will be needed for water [the sponge keeps the crickets from drowning]
They eat pretty much anything smaller than them, but crickets will do nicely.

rosies

thanks a lot for the help.
Do they usualy like to be handled or are they better left alone?

Hey Michelle
As far as handling they tolerate it to some degree, which basically means that they will accept it but it is not a normal thing to them .
There is the occasional rosie that will rear up in a trheat posture and defend it self, even a tame one can even have a case of attutude from time to time. I don't handle any of my tarantulas and at shows the lid stays close. It's not a fear thing but the safety of the spider [being dropped] and the safety of people around.
Value is all relative...it all depends what people will pay.
personally I have bought them for anywhere from .25c in volume to as much as 20 bucks for the real pink ones.
take care
