Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Rowdy Kent - filenamex5100 - [email protected]

My biggest concern with Rowdy is not that you got a snake that is sick. That can happen with anyone, despite practicing great husbandry, but the way he reacted when you let him know what was going on. Just pathetic, to say the least.

And for anyone saying that, "Well, he offered a refund so what's the problem?", I have to wonder how comfortable you'd be with this seller, sending him back a sick animal on his promise to reimburse YOU?? Now, I realize that it's standard practice to ship the animal back BEFORE being refunded. I have no problem with that...with a good seller. I have a big problem trusting ANYTHING that this guy (Rowdy) has to say.

Nick, I'm glad that she's in good hands now, and sorry to hear that you had to deal with this mess; however, I am very glad that you brought this to our attention. I personally will never even THINK of buying anything from Rowdy Kent!

Randy, if you don't mind, could I still see this video of the packing you mentioned? I think it would still give me a little piece of mind if you placed the heat pack where you said you did and it did in fact shift during shipping.
 
Better news. In the last week she has been taking nicely to her meds. She has since shed and took her first 21 gram pinky rat without hesitation. She is becoming more active and amazingly sweet!!

Also, I would still like to see this packing video that you said you had Rowdy. You did say you would post yours after I posted mine.

Awesome news!! That meal will give her more strength to continue getting better. Definitely keep us posted. (And put some pics in the forum when you she's ready!!!!)

As far as "Rowdy's packing video", I guess he didn't really have one to show. :shrug01:

Not going to dive deep here, but your response is oozing with bs.

1) As you say, the snake could NOT have gotten an RI in 17 hours. It also could NOT have gotten the RI in the 24 hours under the OPs care. The most likely fact is that it had RI before you shipped it out.

2) You "know" 100% this snake is healthy and the "vet bill is bogus". As probably every other person on this thread had told you, nobody cares what you "know." Vets spend a fortune and an insane amount of time in school, I will trust ANY vets opinion, especially one who saw the snake and took mucous samples, over a shady seller any day.

3) Snakes are a "hobby" for you and not a "business" so you don't own a $15 scale. Borderline shady, but ok fine believable. And yet, on the other hand you know SO MUCH about snake health and care that you are better than a vet......

Just an update for everyone, she is doing great and back on track WITHOUT meds. She's already taken 3 meals and appx 272 grams after going #1 and #2 a couple days ago. She is due to eat again today :D

Kudos for breeding this beautiful snake Chris!! Will have pics posted soon!

Glad you like her and glad she's doing well for you. They were tough to let go of. Hoping to make a few more this year with the same pairings.
 
Aww so nice to hear it turned out well for her in the end. I must say though, makes me laugh to hear the seller thinks she got the RI from transport; it takes a lot longer than 24 hours for an RI to occur. Sorry you had to deal with all of this, Nick! Kudos for being a good guy and NOT shipping her back.
