    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with Ryan Blakley. The name of his shop is Walter's World of Pets and he's located in Lubbock, TX.

I'm thinking of buying some ornate boxes from him. It's not a whole lot of money, but hey money is money! Just trying to cover my bases! Any info on past deals would be appreciated.

My experience with Ryan

I did a combination trade/cash deal with Ryan last year. He bought all my baby boas and I accepted partial payment in animals. I had absolutely NO COMPLAINTS with our deal. I shipped first (yeah, I know... NEVER ship first) and Ryan sent my animals in a well constructed box (venomous snakes) and I found a money order for the outstanding balance neatly tucked in the shipping crate.... a perfect deal.

I thought we were going to be doing this again this year, but my female boa didn't cooperate. I would not hesitate to send Ryan animals without payment up front in the future.

We've got a hybrid Lewisi Cyclura from Ryan - Awesome animal... Ryan spent about half an hour on the phone with me, explaining in full detail the genetics and background of the animal, and proper care. He's TOP NOTCH in my book, and I can't wait to get another cyclura from him.

I've bought from Ryan and been to his place to pick it up. He's a stand up guy and he won't do you wrong.
 
i know many people that have bought from ryan throughout the years, and they have always said wonderful things about him. now on to my experience with him. he sold me one of the prettiest rhino vipers i have in my collection at the first san antonio hot show and it is still doing great


dont hesitate to buy from ryan you cant go wrong
 
I've purchased a few of snakes from Ryan at shows in TX over the last couple of years (mangroves, a false water) as well as some mammals and have never had anything to complain about. I can't vouch for shipping since I got them at shows, but I can say I was happy with the animals and Ryan was more than courteous and answered all my questions.

Ryan Blakley GOOD GUY!

Thanks to all who replied to my post. I just finished my deal with Ryan and I must say, I don't think it could have been smoother. The email replies were quick, the animals were just as described (and photo'ed), they were shipped safely, and best of all at a great price! ;) I would definitely recommend Ryan Blakley of Walter's World of Pets! :D
 
A little belated but what the heck. Last summer I got an albino monocled cobra juvenile and a mangrove snake from Ryan. After agreeing to get the monocled he noticed a kink in its tail and told me about it. He said I'd probably want to just go with one of the het monocleds he also had available at that time, but being stubborn like I am I went with the monocled. The shipping and everything went very smoothly, and the monocled, which was at that maybe around 12" in length, is now a bit over 36" and is an awesome snake. I got to meet Ryan at the San Antonio hot show in Dec, and can definitely vouch for him being one of the good guys. Not to mention his willingness to get some head photos of a Thrasops he had to help quell suspicions of mine that one of my Dispholidus might be a Thrasops. Anyway, I'm glad your dealing went well with him.
