    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Did Not Receive What I Paid For ... Help

I NEED HELP IN A SITUATION. MAYBE SOMEONE CAN HELP. I RESPONDED TO ADS PLACED BY A RYAN OLMAK ([email protected]) FROM MICHIGAN ON 3 DIFFERENT SITES FOR SALE: 2-3 MONTH OLD NOSEY BE PANTHERS 3-4" LONG. HE GUARANTEED A SEXED PAIR. I PAID HIM AND WHAT I RECEIVED ARE 2 PANTHERS (?) AND MAYBE 2-3 WEEKS OLD. IMPOSSIBLE TO SEX BECAUSE OF AGE. HE SAID HE SOLD OUT OF ALL THE OLDER ONES AND THIS IS WHAT HE HAD LEFT. HE REFUSES TO REFUND ANY $$ AND DOES NOT GRASP THE FACT THAT HE CANNOT SELL YOUNGER CHAMS FOR THE SAME PRICE. IT'S FRAUD - SINCE HE NEVER TOLD ME HE WAS SHIPPING ME NEWBORNS ..... I NEVER WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THEM - ESPECIALLY WHAT I PAID FOR THEM.

WHAT I NEED TO KNOW IS DO I FILE A POLICE REPORT AND SMALL CLAIMS IN MI WHERE THE SELLER IS OR IN FLORIDA WHERE I LIVE ? MONEY WAS SENT THROUGH PAYPAL AND SHIPPING WAS THROUGH FEDEX. I HAVE ALREADY FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE FBI INTERNET FRAUD CENTER AND PAYPAL WILL NOT GET INVOLVED WITH RECEIVING "NOT AS DESCRIBED MERCHANDISE" THEY ONLY HANDLE IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE MERCHANDISE.

IF SOMEONE CAN ASSIST THAT WOULD BE GREAT ... THANKS

Do you have any more info on Ryan? I tried to look him up using people find but I got nothing. I am in Michigan and would be willing to help you out. Do you happen to have pic's of these newborn chams? I hate to see a fellow "Michigander" go bad...;)
 
I'm in Michigan too and have never heard of him. What city if he in? Phone area code? That would help. Small claims won't do much good really. I would certainley point him to this thread so that he can see how bad it will go for his future sales if he should not resolve this with you. Evan

RYAN OLMACK ... IS 20 YEARS OLD ACCORDING TO HIS MSN PROFILE. HE LIVES WITH HIS PARENTS ACCORDING TO REVERSE LOOK-UP ON HIS TEL # (AREA CODE 248).

ACCORDING TO HIS EMAILS TO ME HE SOLD 20 OTHER OF THESE PANTHERS. MAYBE EVERYONE ELSE GOT WHAT THEY PAID FOR. RYAN'S EXCUSE IS THAT HE SOLD OUT OF ALL THE OTHER "OLDER" PANTHERS AND SENT ME WHAT HE HAD LEFT. HE KEPT DELAYING SHIPPING TO ME FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS, SO I HONESTLY BELIEVE HE WAITED FOR THEM TO HATCH. THEIR LITTLE BODIES ARE JUST UNDER 1" LONG STV. SUPPOSED TO HAVE SENT 3 MONTH OLDS 3-4 ", 1M/1F. THESE ARE WAY TOO YOUNG TO SEX - EVEN ACCORDING TO THE VET I TOOK THEM TO TO VERIFY AGE 2-3 WEEKS OLD.

I'M SURE HE DOES NOT HAVE A BUSINESS AND JUST SELLS HIS OFFSPRING OUT HIS HOUSE. WHICH IS FINE AS LONG AS HE ASSUMES PROPER BUSINESS ETHICS.
 
You can go to small claims court if you want. You pay for filing the paperwork (I think it is still $15-18). Then if they don't show, which they most likely won't you will get a judgement that is very hard to collect, especially if they are unemployed, underage, etc. I would try much harder to resolve it on your own.

It sounds as though you have a valid complaint, from the evidence thus far presented. However, you might want to take off the Caps Lock, so others can more easily read what you are trying to say here.
 
Michigan is where the sale took place and Michigan is the origin of the product so more than likely Michigan. You will have to check if there is an exception for internet sales. Most people that conduct business in the manner you have accused him of hide behind the fact that you are too far away to do anything about this.

i will contact the state atty tmrw and see what i have to do to take legal action against ryan.

if there is no action i can take legally then his address and tel # will be available to anyone that can assist with this .....

i have given him every opportunity to see that what he has done is wrong and to refund money ...

but he is young and knows it all .... at least he thinks he does !!

there has to be some other buyers out there that may have purchased from him ... i understand there is a local reptile show he attends in michigan. however, i think it would have to be close to him in oakland, michigan i believe he is in oakland township not oakland park ...... according to his zip 48363.

i understood that this show was just recently or soon coming up.

anyone going there ?
 
Beth, how much of a difference in price are we talking about? This seems like it probably not worth your time, unless you're just pissed and really want to jerk this guy around (which is ok). But, if you're talking less than $100 which I think you would be, assuming you wish to keep the chameleons, then you've got to consider how much your time and energy is worth as well.

And one other thing, you couldn't someone here in FL to buy these things from? I can think of 3 good people right off the top of my head.
 
we are talking about $200 and the point is that i paid for something i didn't get. i really wish i could let everyone see all of the emails, expecially the last few from him. he just does not grasp the concept that he advertised 2-3 month old nosey be panthers, which i paid for - but because he sold out of all the older panthers according to him, he sent me what he had left.

not a problem, if he had advised me of that they were babies and i agreed - i would not be taking him to court. but, he in no way told me these were 2 weeks old and he accepted money for 3 month olds.

i have found out, because this is internet fraud - this is a felony. i will be filing with the state atty here today.

please tell me is there anyone out there that can guarantee a sexed pair at 2 weeks old ? because ryan feels he can, even though 3 breeders and a vet i went to cannot, unti they are older.

again, i really wish that everyone could see these emails.

please be very careful when doing any type of business with him - buying or selling.
