    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

OK. We rescued 7 tiny babies from someone who threw them out with the trash.(it was 35* outside) 3 died and the other 4 have made it so far...11 days.. w/ hand feeding.They have started to eat on their own but are still so tiny.(they range from 2 3/4 to 3 inches and 2.7 g to 3.4 g. but they have put on some weight) Vet said they look good considering...but time will tell.( that was at 5 days...they are doing even better now)They were kept on some fluffy nesting like you would see in a hamster cage but fortunately they are not impacted.We have adults and 8 eggs hatching so we arent exactly "new" to this...but I am not to proud to say HELP.I am still concerned because the mealies look SO BIG for these little ones.We choose the smallest we can find...but still.Do you all feed hatchlings mealies considering their size???
Also...what morph are these angles??? ours are hi yellow and albino and these look so different.Ours were also older then these when we got them.Will the bands break up to spots...

Denise, for the size of the mealworms, the smaller the better. They will however take some that seem rather large. Keep an eye on them as they eat. If they take the larger ones ok you will probally just have to reduce the amount you feed them. Keep the mealies gut loaded and be sure to offer a dish of calicum. As long as they are eating the mealies that is great, if however they become stuborn try some 1/4 inch crickets. Their bands will break up into the dots as they mature. They will start to break up at around 2-3 months old. I would say that these are high yellow - normals. They are about 4-6 weeks old. It is harder to tell though because of their improper care before you saved them. Good job on that by the way. Good luck.
 
Its nice to now that there are some caring people out there. I cant believe people would through those little jems out! The world is an ugly place some times. Good luck!!!
 
You can get mini and small mealies at grubco.com $5 for a 1000, I use the smalls for baby leos, the minis are super tiny, but you may need mini's for those little ones. Glad they are with someone who cares for them, lucky little leos!
