• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry S&S Exotic Animals

I'll admit, I've only been there the one time, and perhaps I caught them right after a big cleaning day (it was right before Christmas, 2010, maybe they were on their best behaviour.)

I was actually shocked at how good it looked because some of their Google and Yelp reviews indicated it wasn't up to par. I went in expecting it to be nasty, and was pleasantly shocked to find it otherwise.

I hadn't seen the negative Fauna ads at that point, though, and with what I've read there, I think I've changed my opinion about buying from them in the future.

I'm inclined to agree here. Maybe that is my situations as well. Just catching them on good days.
But with that much inconsistancy I would stay away.
But none the less cool place to see some exotic animals.

I recently e-mailed them about a chocolate and yellow striped California kingsnake that they had been listing on another well-known website for quite a few months. About 4 months to be exact, as I know I had been watching it for quite awhile, waiting to find a male to go with it. After 3 days, I recieved an reply simply saying "It is sold. I only have black and white ones now." -- that's it. Found it interesting that this snake had been available for months on end, re-listed every couple days, then of course with my luck the minute I inquire, it is gone. A couple days later, the ad was relisted again on the 23rd, for the same exact snake. So this made me go :shrug01:

I would advise against it... they really don't know what they are doing, or care to know what they should do, with their animals.
