In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey guys. We are sad to say that our mahogany ball has passed. She was the last alive out of that clutch and this has put an end to that breeding project. Thanks again to everyone who helped me with our incubation issues! It seems that this is a genetic issue with this particular morph as the few in existence have died at onset of maturity or earlier. I was beginning to think we were in the clear as it had been over 2 years, but :censored: happens.

Sorry to hear. That sucks.

Is there anything that may be pertinent to anyone who may consider a similar project. Sounds like you guys were on the verge of something good. I could only find one pic on the net about this morph and I would like to know how to create it and what you did that you think may have an impact on if the clutch survives or not.

Dang, sorry to hear that.
I've never seen a mahogany ball either. I'm sure if you'd like to post any photos you may have, lots of us would like to see them.
Again, sorry about your loss.

:iagree:

Arrgh!!!!! I'm so frusturated! I keep trying to post the pics but can't get them out of my control panel on to a post reply... I also can't copy them onto the desktop (I'm at the library and no longer have a computer that I have those pics on... I'll figure out something... be patient with me.
Melissa

Oh yeah... if you guys want to look at our older posts from '05 and '06, the baby pics are there and so are pics of the parents and also the snake porn. There was one that was still born and a mahogany, one that was different but not a normal... he died 3 months out of the egg, and then there's the one that survived until now, I'll have to go search my e mail for the pics and do this at a friend's house instead of the library.
Melissa

Ok guys, sorry it took so long... I was moving. Here is two baby pics of the Mahogany and one of her as a yearling...

James-
I just realized that I never answered your question about how they are created. The answer is... My husband Tony picked the wild caught parents out of and ad and we purchased them. The mom got out and died in our wall, the dad went to Amir.
Melissa

oh ok. So this is a morph that could occur in the wild? I would love to get a couple myself because that was a good looking snake. There would be a lot of potential for that kind of snake. It would have been cool to see what you could have done with it.

So do you think those particular parents just didn't have good genes or is this common for this type of morph?

This seem to be a problem with the morph. The parents didn't look anything like the babies though. They were both healthy.
And alas the pics don't show the vibrant orange colors (Surprise), in fact she was named Tigger. Tony told me we'd never have a snake named Tigger, he saw her and relented. He says she looked like the mom as she aged... I don't think so though... I'l post a pic later. i don't feel like messing with it at 3:30 am though.

I'm so fired James... I missed one of your ?s again! Yes I suppose it could occur in the wild, the parents looked simaler, but not alike. I'll also post a pic of the dad so you can see both the parents
