    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A man in San Antonio has been ordered to get rid of his beloved pet -- a 20-foot long, 200-pound python -- WAOI-TV reported.

Carl Schweikardt told reporters he has had his snake, Snooky, for close to 30 years. "I haven't had my kids that long," Schweikardt said.

Snooky's massive size and weight reportedly make him a fugitive within San Antonio city limits.

"According to the city ordinance, any snake, non-poisonous snake, over 3 feet long is prohibited," said Ed Wright of Animal Control.

The police were reportedly alerted to the snake by an anonymous tip. But the family refuses to simply give Snooky up.

"I'm having to stash him at friends' houses (outside city limits) that are knowledgeable enough to take care of him properly until we can figure out ... some way around the ordinance," Carl's daughter Wendy said.

And I thought OUR laws were unnecessarily restrictive...that one sucks. Something tells me, too, that he had that snake before the existance of that city's ordinance.

I agree, that ordinance is rediculous with the 3 feet wording.
It's almost certain he had the snake before the ordinance, but unless there is a grandfather clause in it, or he gets an exemption he's got a problem.
These laws are not written for these type people. How many people have you heard of that has had a burm for that long? Anyone that keeps a giant constrictor for 30 apparently uneventful years is not a problem keeper.

It does not say if the guy lived in San Antonio for those 30 years, but either way that is such a bummer. As we all know, laws acan be great for punishing the responsible.

I can not even dream of how crazy that law is. There are native species there larger than three feet. It is a shame how fear can put new laws on the books. I have nothing against dogs, but look how many people are mawled each year. How many attacks are made by 3ft plus non venomous snakes? Thats sad!!
