So, my family and I went to our first reptile show today and it was pretty nice. So many snakes, so many decisions. My wife liked the lessers, my son like the black pastel, and me, well I liked them all. It was so nice to see all the dif morphs in person. I've been a long time stalker, and preparer for today. I've read so many forums, watched so many videos and realizes so many times I need to win the lotto for my coraL glow. Lol. Anyhow, we came home with a few...some normals, a Mohave, and a black pewter. Luckily my racks have been built for like 6 months, was a bit disappointed that no one was selling flex watt so had to do an emergency order on that.

Just wanted to say Ty for allowing me to utilize your past experience, and dream of what bp I wanted. I've waited for the show to be here and over, now I am going to dabble with maybe buying one online soon.

I'll post pics to arrow. Wanted them to calm a bit. Did have them out so we could name them...all after Harry potter toons.

Intro: I'm Tim. I am an army medic, married for a decade plus, two kids 8 and 2. Just moved to San Antonio from fort Bragg. Had a col red tail from the Birmingham zoo back in 99...Ty randy, and that started my love for snakes. I believe the gaboon viper is the prettiest snake ever. I like long walks on the....wait no I don't. I don't like walking too long.

Let's see if uploading works. Pics are not the best...it's an iPad.

What sort of bedding is that? Pine contains oils that aren't good for snakes (not as bad as cedar but not good). Aspen is ok; I just don't normally see it shaved like that.

It is aspen. I considered the "Kiln" dried pine, but decided I didn't want to take a chance on it. Supposedly the kiln dried pine is ok as it gets rid of the oil. I may use it for the asf's underneath them. Curious if the smell of the asf's will get the snakes going.

I have plenty of room for upgrading too. I have room for a total of 36 28qt tubs all ready to go. I just set it up initially with what I have and can grow from there.
