    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I agree. I just think she could still do some damage control if she would just answer to this thread and pay what she owes. Most people are empathetic and can understand hard times, what I don't think most can understand and accept is when we don't try to rectify our mistakes and just run from them.

Yes Sam....we have HUGE lightning bugs here in Michigan.....no one's safe ;)

I agree with this. She is young and evidently overextended and maybe is embarrassed. But maybe this is a real character issue. The longer she avoids facing up here, the more it seems like the latter. At a certain point in time a person needs to be an adult and act like one.

A few pages back someone said that Sara may be embarrassed and I would have to agree. Most likely, she got caught up in her bills and Christmas and then didn't have the courage to face you.....admittedly, that is not the way to handle business transactions but I believe she's young and needs to learn by her mistakes.

Last year, I had lost a young bearded dragon to a lightning bug, Sara heard of this (I had never corresponded with her at this point) and she offered to give me a baby, free of charge.
I believe she has a big heart and her intentions are good, she's just young and makes mistakes. Sometimes, big ones.

She just really needs to come here, no matter how embarrassing, apologize and at least try to set this right....I would hate for her business to be a complete waste because of some bad choices she's making over this.

My transaction with Sara and conversations with her since have always been positive. I don't think she is a person who decieves others for the thrill of it. She is probably just young, embarrassed, and overextended as was mentioned above. Unfortunately she made poor, immature decisions (sorry Harold and Sammy) and now her reputation is being slaughtered (as it rightfully should at this point). Sara, if you are reading this come forward and make this right! You are better than this! Admit to your mistake, fix it, and do everything you can to do right from now on!

I am young, but I would NEVER do something like that...

As for being embarrassed and overextended, she needs to get over it and face the facts. This is not going away, and no matter how overextended one is, doesn't Harald at least deserve an explanation?

I think it is very noble of some of you to be the "Devil's Advocate" so to say, but I don't think it is enough...

She needs to come forth!

Sara!! If you want to fix this, you need to come out from where ever you are hiding and face it. This is looking worse and worse for you the longer it lingers.
 
Agreed 200% Heather. I'm young and though I only keep up with these threads to gain some knowledge here or there, I'm amazed what people do. It's almost disheartening to an extent.
 
To the person that stated I jumped the gun in posting (because her last PM said I should have the money order hopefully by Friday, and I posted early Monday): There have been 2 more mail deliveries since I posted...the money order is not here. It just doesn't take that long to get from Pittsburg, PA, to Troy, NY.

That is pretty much what I said. I believe she should own up to her own actions and I believe she should make this right. I wasn't playing devil's advocate, I was just looking at it from another aspect - the young and sometimes stupid aspect. I'm hoping that Sara didn't set out to screw Harald and Sammy over, but even then, the fact still remains that she owes them and needs to pay them. I believe we are all on the same side. I guess we just need to express it in different ways. :)

Harald and Sammy, even if you don't get what's owed to you from Sara, what you did was kind and will be paid back in other acts of kindness!

For what purpose...so I can listen to her lies, as opposed to reading them? No. I haven't called her. Nor will I. Any discussions will be restricted to email or PM, so there is a record. No he says, she says.

He doesn't need to call her. She knows there is a debt and has even viewed this thread.
She needs to repay the money and apologize for the situation.
 
It is lit up in red (indicating less than 50% positive)...I think it is just waiting to be dealt with.
