    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello
I just bought a roughly 18" sav monitor on tuesday. I dont know if it is a male or female. How owuld you go about telling what the sex is? Ive heard that some people can tell just by looking at the vent...? Im not sure. I have no idea how to post pictures on here but i can email them to you if your willing to help me.
Thanks

I'm no monitor guru, but to my knowledge, the vent/cloacal region won't tell you anything on a sav that size....and possibly not even an adult.

I've heard that males have larger heads in proportion to their bodies, but again, this is not a concrete method either, especially with sub-adults. You'd need several adults in front of you to make an educated guess.

thanks for your help!
that kinda sucks if you cant really tell the sex of your sav i have read that when they get bigger males have like bump/ rolls by their vent...? true/ false?
i havent heard that males usually have a bigger head. i only know 1 other person that owns a sav so i dont think ii would be able to make a good guess on weather its male or female by looking at only 2.

so if there is no clear way to tell if your sav is male or female (from what i have heard and read) how do a lot of people know that theirs is a male or female?

I hope im not over loading on questions here. I love these monitors and im just trying to learn more about them
