    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

just received our 2nd order from Scales, right on time with everything in it (including a bottle of Electrolyte supplement i didnt order, guess they really like my bizness lol)... I really like the idea that they still accept payments straight from PayPal without having to have a credit card...You guys got my business and again, thanks...

Only place I go for my shipping supplies, not to mention the PayPal option is huge for me.

I just purchased a group of Fire Skinks from Wendy at Scales. She was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. Shipping was perfect. I even got a couple of nice little bonuses in the package.

Daniel and Wendy are BUMS. GOOD FOR NOTHING BUMS.

Ok now back to reality. Daniel and Wendy are great people who are quite easy to deal with. I highly reccomend them, and also wear my scales shirt with pride. Keep up the good work guys.

Not only are they apparantly quite good with their online business, their local shop is a great source for regular supplies needed in our area. They've helped me out without hesitation and visiting their shop is always a pleasureable experience!!!

Not a good experience

I ordered a 1000g. female ball that was said to be eating med. rats and healthy...To my dismay she had a meal in her when i recieved her but her skin was loose and that was probably the only meal she had in months...I did return her to them for a full refund,,, no hard words or anything like that but when ya have a nice collection of balls, you dont wanna keep one that isnt as healthy as promised......just my one and only dealing with them...service was great though.. :toiletcla
 
I bought a glass cage from Scales. They put it in a box without protection. Off course it was broken. Funny how they don't reply to my emails.

I just emailed Daniel and Wendy and let them know about your post. I would hope they contact you shortly.

If you speaking of the exo terra glass terrariums, I can tell you from my own experiences with them, its a nightmare shipping them.

A bit of background info for non industry people. I know MY Hagen salesmen made it seem to me that the cages were tested to be shippable in the factory box. Now granted the factory box only comes with padding on each corner, but we were told this would be enough.

I know our company sent out a few cages the first week they came out, and ended up with issues during shipping. From speaking with Daniel Im aware he had issues also.

If your owed money for a damaged cage, Im confident Daniel and Wendy will make things right. You may want to call the shop and speak with one of them directly.
 
Thanks for the info, yeah it's an exo terra cage. If I knew how it was packaged I never would of bought it. It is not UPS safe! I just would of liked a return of my email.

Shipping glass

Mr Campanara did indeed purchase one of the glass Exo Terra Terrariums. We shipped it out in it's box (which has styrafoam in all corners) inside another box with styrafoam between the walls.

I recieved a call from Mr Campanara the day he recieved the package letting me know it was damaged. I gave him the option of 1) finding a glass cutter to replace the glass and send us a reciept for the repairs and we would re-imburse him or 2) return the Terrarium and we would refund his money.

We sent out 3 of these glass Terrariums, well packed, well marked with Fragile and Glass stickers. UPS broke all 3. We then changed them to instore pick up only. All 3 customers were given the same options.

We have not recieved any emails from Mr Campanara. Please make sure you have the correct email address [email protected]

Reguardless of whether calls were made and emails not replyed to you got a reply here on this thread.

I hope that you can take advantage of the situation here and resolve any issues here and now. You have been give a couple diffrent options it seems. I would say the ball is in your court Lou.
 
I always find it best to call if that option is available. The sheer volume of emails some of these companies receive is horrendous and it takes quite a bit of time to weed through them. Phone calls and in store inquiries are generally prioritized higher.
