In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I won a biak gtp from Sns and 10 days ago i recieved her. when i opened the box i found a starved, dehydrated, mite infested gtp ice cold with no heat pack stuffed in a tiny delicup. it started out that i was supposed to recieve her tuesday. tuesday rolled around and nothing until late afternoon i get a message after i emailed her trying to see where the snake was and she said that she didnt get shipped out because of a personal problem at her house. so i waited to get the snake weds a day late. after close inspection i contacted SNS and told them i wasnt pleased and i wanted a refund. they told me that if i send her back weds for thursday arrival they would. i told her i cant leave work to ship her and then she said monday for tuesday arrival. I said i would have to see what happens with my job schedule and in the mean time i didnt feel comfortable shipping a sick snake and would try to de mite her and get her settled. i was unable to ship her monday due to work and she was still infested at the time. so i waited to ship her when i was able to. well this poor thing was getting sicker and mouth rot was noticible now and today 10 days afer i got her she died. i couldnt ship her over the weekend for obvious reasons and this poor thing was getting worse. im just warning people dont buy anything from them. they are unreasonible and poor business ethics. they didnt care if the snake arrived dead or alive if i shipped her back the state she was in she would have died. but i should have gone against my better jugdement and shipped her. they sent me a knowingly sick snake and didnt care. just watch out for them. pics can be seen at my facebook page since i dont know how to post them here.

Was this a drawing, or what?

They don't sound unreasonable

Did you call a vet when you noticed the mouth rot?
Are there any emails from them that you can post?

I'm sorry your snake died :( And, I'd like to hear from them about the mites, alleged illness, and shipping delay/conditions, have you notified them of the thread?

I will try to get pics up. I noticed her mouth rot yesterday and called my vet he couldnt see her until tomorrow and the mouth rot wasnt bad yet. It was an auction on facebook. Ill try to copy everything from fb to here.

I checked your facebook and only see one pic of a GTP - your profile pic. Maybe I am missing more pics somewhere? It's difficult to tell anything either way from the one picture.

Please post emails as well. You've told us that there were problems with the snake but you also said that the seller immediately agreed to a refund if you shipped back. That is not unreasonable.

a snake infested with mites and already sickly should not have been shipped in the first place and there would be no issue now. :NoNo: I would have to agree should have shipped right back but i also understand your stance that a sick snake would have died in transport where you were thinking of the animals well being the seller was not. I do know one thing i would never buy from this seller knowing now that there collection and the animals they are flipping are and or potentially carring mites.

Is this it? This is the only GTP on that Facebook account.

No argument there. But so far, there is no proof that this critter was in fact sickly.
Has the seller been notified?

here is the gtp the other pic is one of her other ones. she had it ten days a snake does not die in a ten day period if it was not already sick.

That is quite a statement. She implied she was going to treat for mites, what if the treatment had not been done correctly?

I have no dog in this fight, but presenting a dead critter and because it is dead, pinning fault, is a stretch. Are there any more facts?

BTW, I ran across an interesting thread:

a snake does not die in a ten day period if it was not already sick.

I'm just curious, I'm not a seller so I don't know- do most sellers guarantee their snakes for at least 10 days after receipt in their TOS, since you claim that snakes don't die within 10 days if not sent ill?

I don't want to get mixed up in this as I've never dealt with this seller or buyer but most breeders/sellers will give a 7 day Guarantee on snakes. I myself give a 7 day Guarantee for Health and Satisfaction or until they are feeding for the new owner! The snake in question (I saw the pictures and will try to find them again) was skinny and mite infested at arrival and just did not look healthy at all :( If the buyer had shipped the snake back it more then likely would have died in return shipping but that will never be known!

The buyer notified the seller right away about the condition of the animal and was not satisfied. This is a hard case to determine because there are so many Ifs here! A refund of shipping for sure and I myself would definately give a full refund as the buyer did give notification right away about how sick the animal was!

she did give notice the animal was sick right away but was hesitant to ship back for fear snake would not make it in transit. most give a 7 day gaurantee. and i have dealt with quite a few and any problems were that arose where always taken care of by the seller. I personally would never sell a snake that had mites it would be my responsability to make sure that my animals are fully healthy and parasite free beforenany transaction. I do not flip i breed my own stock so do not have the problems associated with that practice. Imho snakes shipped healthy should eat and not have mites on them. and i know, yes some times they come in and are stressed and take a few weeks to eat especially a baby, but from experience a snake that has mites will typically not be feeding. Also the thread you brought up has nothing to do with this instance was not her buisness she i believed worked there. Kelly has bought many snakes from me and she is fully capable of taking care of gtps she is by no means a begginer hobbyist. The sellers tos is what it is if he does not want to give a refund thats also their choice. My only point in posting is you never ship a snake that has mites its the sellers responcability.

Have you ever treated for mites its not rocket science its a long process of fighting a hard to kill parasite due to the eggs being very hardy a regimant of cleaning cage and snake can take months in severe cases the only health issue of dueing it wrong would be the stress the animal would have to go thrue from the constant Handling from taking in and out of cage.

I see, first an apparently healthy snake wrapped around someone's hand (if it was mite-infested I would NOT be doing that). :ack2:

I do not see, pictures of mouth-rot (which I would have taken if the snake was in bad a shape as described).

The snake was treated for mites (we know that if done incorrectly even a healthy snake will die.)

I do not know if the snake really had mites or if someone was treating as a preventive measure (can anyone see mites on the snake?)

Too many questions unanswered for me to be able to determine if the seller actually did ship out a snake that was in such bad shape, or if the animal was killed by accident by the winner.

*The main question I have is, "Why aren't pictures of the "sick" animal available? There was 10 days between receipt of animal and death. :shrug01:

Sorry...apparently the first picture I was was another snake..but my perception of the incident stands. There was 10 days...I would need pictures of how the animal looked on arrival.
