Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

One second he has pics on his phone, the next he does not, the next he just can't attach it.

I know you said he did not commit a crime by sending someone else's pics, BUT, if you offered to trade me and I ask you for pictures and weights of YOUR animals, are you seriously going to send me pictures of other people's animals? And of course he will all of a sudden say "oh I would have sent animals first." Ed you have been here a while. you know how these people are. Same type of people. Same MO. different year.
 
Actually, posting a picture -regardless of what it is- that wasn't taken by you and claiming it as yours IS kind of a crime. Regardless, with the inconsistencies, the sudden profanity, and then this:

Something sure is fishy when someone sends pics, belonging to others, and does not state that they are for reference only (not the actual snakes they own).
Most people would tell you that they are not at home and will send pics (of the actual snakes they have available) once they do get home.
This person's very negative behavior/language would be enough to not do business, with him, as well. It is also a common reaction of scammers who get called out on something.
The other thing that seems "unusual", at least to me, is what he was offering, in trade, for a Butter Belly, Pinstripe, and Pewter.

Censor the emails and post them please. These posts serve as heads up to future possible customers, but if he is actually making physical threats to you that is a whole different level that should be noted (and perhaps action taken, depending on how they actually read). Future possible employers and well as those searching for other reasons should see these emails which may serve to protect them in this thread that has his actual name.

Dennis,

I'd take those emails to your local police department. What you don't know (and sometimes what you don't know is what can hurt you) is whether he has a record of making these types of physical threats to others in the past, and more important, whether he has ever carried any of them out.

From start to finish his posts are full of red flags and hostility.
 
You could see this stuff from the beginning of the thread. Seeing the entire message history was unimportant. As soon as someone begins speaking just in the ways that were posted earlier, you should know which party you don't want to deal with. This type of behavior is really interesting to me on a professional level and I'm not sure exactly what to make of it, but it's way too common. I know that grammar policing isn't looked kindly upon, but am I the only one to notice a pattern in which people who are abusive tend to have horrible spelling, punctuation, and grammar? Maybe this is due not to ill education, but to a lack of emotional control. Food for thought and I second Lucille's opinion on contacting authorities, at the very least it might keep him busy for a while, lol.

I agree. Dennis, you should do as Lucille suggests and get a report done.
It could simply be nothing more than a case of "tough behind a keyboard" but, on the other hand, there is that possibility of real instability.
Thus, any threats should be taken serious.
 
BTW I don't know about elsewhere but, in Ohio, it is a felony to commit a crime (such as making threats) through internet service providers and web based email service providers.
However, this is dependent upon whether, or not, a detective is willing to do the work and if the service providers are willing to press charges.

I think this goes a little farther than just bluffing behind a keyboard. Online is often where instability first shows itself, because it feels safer to the person exhibiting it. But with threats like this, you have to wonder if he will escalate and actually hurt a person. The things he said would make any stable person uncomfortable just reading them, and are definitely not normal things for a person to say. For the sake of anyone he will come in contact with in person, I would definitely file a report so this is on record. Scary!
 
I checked the membership roster which lists his full name as Lance Owens, so for search purposes I thought I'd provide the name here.
It also says his last visit to the site was today, so I'm thinking he is following the thread.

Meh. Honestly Its not worth it to me to take it any further.
he is some punk kid that likes to pop off at the mouth and seem like he is something to be feared. I am a former officer and will be again here soon. I am in no way afraid of him.
If i truly took his threats serious i would do something.
 
It's not about being afraid of him, Dennis. I wouldn't be either. It's about teaching him that there are consequences for his actions, and also the potential for getting someone that's having some issues help.

Even if you think he's just some punk kid talking/typing tough, there are red flags here for serious mental illness/instability. You might not be at risk, but if he's more than just the mouthy punk you think he is, someone else (or their wife, or their kids, or their dog, etc etc etc... ) might be.

It takes a serious kind of sick to think that dismembering ANYTHING living is arousing.
 
I would think this falls under mandated reporting?

99% chance just a punk kid, 1% chance he's a socio- or psycho- or whatever-apath. Hate to find out he does something rash in the future with this 'warning sign'.
 
If he had said this to a therapist, it would fall under mandated reporting as he mentioned planning to purchase a weapon. That along with the rest of it would probably push you to report.
