In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Living Gems Reptiles is pleased to finally profile the babies from its 2016 “F” litter.

Born on October 30, 2016 to Scarface (a July 2008 orange male noted for his almost perfect side patterns)…

…and Aventurine (a September 2010 orange female who was one of the early bullseye animals)…

Dam

As a (gravid!) adult:

…this litter represents the first pairing of these two animals.

Note Mom lost part of her color due to “color fade,” partly I suspect due to stress from the cross-country move, but remains perfectly healthy. She will be a breeder again this year, again with Scarface (you’re about to see why!).

The 13 babies in this litter feature wonderful color, often with shades of both orange *and* red, as well as rich thick side crescents. The litter is male heavy, with eight boys and five girls.

At 15 months old, they are well-tested and healthy; eating, shedding, and pooping with no problems. As has been outlined in previous posts, all of these babies come from a disease-tested facility.

As with all LGR litters, we’ve done dozens of handling sessions for each baby, part of our commitment to start acclimating them to humans. This litter, however, is a teeny bit feistier than normal, I suspect because they were born *right* before my move, and as such were lightly handled during their first two weeks before resuming normal practice. I expect this will pass quickly with regular handling by their new human(s).

Over the following posts, please find a short profile of every baby in the litter. For each, a short description is provided, noting any behavioral or physical quirks, along with a selection of photos showing their development over the first few sheds. For dorsal chains, “short” means two to three linked spots, and “long” mean four or more.

So grab a cup of your favorite brew, sit back, relax, and enjoy!

If you like what you see, and want first dibs at any babies, you can sign up for our Wait List here <statictab.com/w5cjpkc>.

Thank you as always,

Baby #01 (Male)

This little guy has a busy back pattern, with eight short dorsal chains. His sides are almost exclusively thick crescents, with a lone reverse bullseye on his left, and a single merged spot on his right.

Baby #05 (Female)

This stunning little lass is one of the top three females in the litter, and on my holdback shortlist. She has two short dorsal chains on her back. Her sides are almost exclusively thick crescents, but her left side contains an unusual “double dot” plus a reverse bullseye, and her right has one small traditional bullseye on her neck.

Baby #08 (Male)

This feisty little fellow is one of the real characters of his litter. He apparently thinks he’s the enforcer of the group. He was not a fan of (re-)sexing day, and gleefully let my fingers know it…three times before calming down. (He shows ‘tude like this fairly often, but then quickly calms down and becomes the explorer of the litter, trying to get his snoot into anything and everything that looks interesting. I bet the initial spunk will pass quickly once he finds a human who can handle him several times a week.) He has an interesting mini-loop on one side of his head/neck, and his back is almost a chain-free, except for one long four-spot segment. His left side is exclusively thick crescents, but his right has two merged spots, one of them a double bullseye.

This handsome gent is the shy one of his litter. My last session, he balled up and tried to hide his head. He has four short and one long dorsal chain on his back. His sides are almost exclusively thick crescents, save for one single stretched spot on his left.

This mysterious lass has an intriguing darker color. Her head has an interesting pattern, in which the two normally straight side lines curve inward to link in a semi-circle. She has three short and one long dorsal chain on her back. Her sides are almost exclusively thick crescents, save for one lone eclipse on her right.

Baby #12 (Male)

This colorful little lad is a cautious soul, and always keeps his tail tightly curled on the nearest finger. He has the busiest back of his litter, with two short and one looong (six to eight spots) dorsal chain. His sides are almost exclusively thick crescents, with one stretched and one merged spot on his left, and one small neck bullseye on his right.

Baby #13 (n/a)

This gorgeous little lady, pictured below in my favorite Mom/baby shots from the litter…

39995346771_13b113c720_z.jpg

…sadly passed away shortly after my move to Texas, in early January 2017. Crib death, it seems, at less than ten weeks? She is my only loss from the five marketed litters that year, and her F littermates have not had any issues. RIP little lady. You were here, however briefly.

Baby #14 (Male)

This gorgeous guy is one of the stunners in the litter. He has two short and one long dorsal chain on his back. Her has the busiest side patterns of the litter, with four merged spots on his left; and a bullseye, a merged spot, and six ocelli that bleed into his bottom black dots on his right.

Hey, I'm not interested in keeping rainbow boas.. but your snakes are so beautiful! I really appreciate breeders that seem to care so deeply for their animals as individuals. Thank you for posting.

Thanks Cliff. It's always a pleasure to see these litter pictures. I've never seen rainbows as beautiful as the ones you produce.
