In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have just acquired some S. suspinipes from Java, Malaysia and the mutilans varieties.
All are cool to look at and are :reddevil: very :reddevil: aggressive. The bigger ones eat mice, frogs and any bug you can toss at them. The smaller ones eat anything they can over power with the rather large fangs they have on the side of the head, when you look at them they look like modified legs.I have read that the venom is rather strong so a bite would not be pleasurable, not to mention the fang size.
Anyone else out there have these ? ? lemmee know and your experiences with them and what Sp. you have

Pedes are great. I've got an S. morsitans, and it is so much fun to watch it eat. :hehe: I've never seen such an off the wall feeding frenzy from anything else. :hehe: Mine is usually out and about, and makes for interesting tank maintenence. If the tweezers get too close, the pede goes nuts and tries to eat the tweezers. :reddevil:

I did have a Neon Blue Leg, but it recently passed.
:bawling: I don't know why. The Neon Blue Leg was different from my S. morsitans. It was a lot calmer than the morsitans (with the same food reaction tho), but usually buried somewhere in its enclosure.

During the summer I caught a couple of Scutigera coleoptrata (house centipedes). These guys are very fun to watch. Unlike other centipedes, they don't burrow, but they will climb around on corkbark. When feeding them, don't blink, you'll miss them catching the food. They move so fast they make my OBTs look slow.

I just now received three large suspinipes and one I am sure is gravid [so one is yours Kris :) ] and also two Chinese unknown pedes. In the same pac I also got one emerald Egyptian pede...gotta go and look up the names of these guys.
They all like to kick the terminal legs at you and the emerald likes to run.
The large suspinipes all ate hoppers last night, and the smaller ones ate crix.
I can't wait till I go to Florida this year and catch some of the Florida Blue's.

ohhh, babies. :D Best of luck with that! I'd be happy to give one a home and spoil it rotten. :hehe:

Lucky you going to FL to find bugs. I'd love to go down there and find some of the FL B. vagans. When I went there I didn't get a chance to bug hunt. Got caught up with the whole theme park, tourist trap thing.

I used to live in Florida over a decade ago and left after Andrew.
The Ft. Pierce Vagans I get 12 a year and they are true vagans not any of those albogans out there.
......get this....jet BLACK looking like crushed velvet with a red abdomen. and stocky also.
It is funny I go there every year and stay at my in-laws and am never there...allways out hunting :bolt01:
