    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A flurry of disruptive posting and an accusatory BOI thread brought this person onto our radar. He was called on his multiple accounts in that thread; but further information made it obvious that a thread in his name(s) is required.

These accounts are by all appearances, the same person.

Now, "levi" is the only account that has some outlying information...but the levi4turtle@aol email is a solid giveaway. Further, daniel c (from the other BOI thread) addressed "Levi4turtle" as Levi Robert in his classified ad.
I want to point out that the emails listed above are the ones he used to register the accounts...I don't know that he keeps his identities straight, and uses the "correct" email for each one.

While one could make a reasonable justification for having multiple accounts over a period of years, the only reason for using different names (IMO) is deceipt.

Another member with an enormously kind heart was trying to help the fictitious identity out and I stepped in to make her aware of this situation. I am hoping she will add her account of this as time permits.

So not only did he try to muster up sympathy for his alias Levi4turtle being banned using deercorpse, he has used multiple accounts here with various aliases doing the exact thing he was supposedly "fighting" against. Now a story about his wife with cancer who needs free turtles, huh??

In the tortoise forum, didn't you just love how deercorpse (aka "Scott Champlin") stated he met rebmassor (aka "Scott Champlin") and referred to him (rebmassor) as "Levi". ;)
 
I said "stated he met" but maybe should have said "she".
This is because it was deercorpse's, alleged, ailing wife who, allegedly, wrote under his deercorpse account (stating having met rebmassor "Levi").
 
Yup, I was almost scammed This ass totally had me bamboozled. I fell for the cry for help because who in their right mind would use the cancer card for a free hatchling?!? I was warned by several kind hearted people that it may be a scam. I was reassured when a second member contacted me and assured me that deercorpse was down on their luck and good people. Thank you rebmassor for making me feel that it was ok to give deercorpse a free tort and to lay my suspicions to rest. Only to find out that deercorpse and rebmassor were one in the same. Playing me like a fiddle! At least I did not send them anything at all and the hatchling is still safe and sound with me. Shame on you Scott Champlin for using the cancer card for something so little as a free hatchling. You are scum.

I find errors like that common among the collection-of-identities scammers. It makes it tougher for me on occasion to deal with people who use a nickname or a middle name in place of their first/given name. A shame it is that way.
 
My guess is that Levi4turtle was playing scambuster to bolster his reputation...but that is purely speculation.
Just to make people aware of this person's status - the Levi4turtle account is currently banned for accumulated infractions. The deercorpse account is banned for the same term for being used to bypass the ban. Any other accounts used to bypass these bans will be banned permanently...and the current bans will be extended. Ultimately, when the bans expire (if not before) he will have to confirm his identity - which I feel is necessary, since he has used 4 different names - an account will be selected by the moderation team, and his other accounts will be merged info that one. That's if everything follows the described course...
Irate emails won't help his case...and could result in his ban being made permanent. Likewise, failure to confirm his identity will will have the same result.
I would anticipate that he'll pop up again he's got certainly got a history of creating new accounts.

I will update this thread with further info (name confirmation, what account will be used, other names/emails used,etc) as appropriate.

So the whole "wife with cancer routine" is be perpetrated on other sites as well. He is a screen shot of him/her using an alias account again.

Best line I have read so far from "deercorpse":
"Some one on fauna PM me and told me to post on here cause it's a better site and there's some scammers on fauna."

Is anyone a member over there? Is so a link from there to this BOI might help them out?

First deercorpse is the the husband concerned over the "wife with cancer".
Different thread for someone giving away a tortoise, deercorpse is now the "wife" wanting to give her "husband" a present.

Deercorpse = woman or man?

This is the guy who was selling a Sulcata with pyramiding that I foolishly commented on and got myself in hot water over. It looks like he was acquiring them under some names and selling them under Levi.
 
...maybe he has multiple personality disorder and these people are having conversations on these forums?
