In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Scott Micheals

Scott refunded me the money for the snake with injuries and I am keeping the snake.

The other two animals are heathly. My only worry is if he had them together, that the other female might be gravid. IMO she is a bit small to have been bred but a friend of mine who breeds black pines said she might be in the clear. Keep in mind that black pine eggs are huge. I tried to palpate her yesterday but she went a little balistic and I didnt want to press the issue with her seeing how ive only had her a day and she needs to settle in.

I am treating the snake as per insturctions from Scott and a few of my friends. The abrasions are not my biggest worry. The prolapse is. With GTPs the redmedy is a sugar water soak depending on the severity of the prolapse. With the open wounds on this animal and given that it is a pine snake, this will not work for her. I am applying neosporin to the cloacae at this time. A friend of mine who worked at a zoo for many years told me to apply preperation H which I am going to do today.

Lucas, I am hoping for the best for your snake.

As far as the seller, it is already too late for him. No one I know wants the hassle of calling someone out on the BOI and filing a Paypal dispute just to get a refund for a snake with an obvious injury.

Plus there's the way he spoke to you.

Plus and perhaps most telling he parades around his questionable veterinarian status while sending out a snake that condition.

That was unethical both because he did not disclose the injury and because it is just bad dealing to put such an injured snake through the ordeal of shipping especially to an owner who is unaware of the injury.

Glad everything worked out. And if you suspect shes gravid keep feeding her small meals.

Colubrids can handle small meals during pregnancy and this will help her out in the long run to gain weight for better chance of getting them out...

Bought a pastel 50% possible het clown from Scott several years ago. It was supposed to be female. Well, came across the fact that it is actually a male a couple days ago. I wrote him about it and have still not received any response from him. I understand it is over his "30 day" guarantee, but, I would think that if hes going to advertise being a vet he would stand by the sex of his animals. I have always thought of him as a reasonable guy but now Im not so sure and am saddened by the fact that he is turning out to be not as awesome as he seemed. I have learned my lesson to check sex right after receiving animals. I just always thought that I could trust people on their word. I had a similar incident happen with someone else and she has been very helpful on the matter, something I wouldve done had I sold an incorrectly sexed animal to somebody. I hope Im just 'jumping the gun' with him, but, I wouldve thought that I wouldve gotten some type of response by now.

Gotta say that after several years, you are pretty much on your own. Even if you have a photo ID, that is really pushing the envelope.

That is the reason that pretty much all breeders have a very limited guaranty on that issue. It's up to you as the new owner to verify and double check. Even a vet can make that mistake once in a while

Yeh, I understand that its past the guarantee, but, wouldve at least appreciated an email from the guy..even if its just saying tough luck. :)

Just got an email from Scott, thankfully! I was starting to get butt sore about the situation. Just wanted to let people know he got back to me and seems to be willing to work with me, thankfully! He just confirmed with hes email why I think hes awesome. Hopefully something can be worked out.

Scott has been very helpful with the situation and a plan has been worked out. He just was a little slow on replying I guess. :) Which I can symphasize with. Now I feel bad I jumped the gun!
