PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Im currently in the process of building enclosures for my BRBs and am trying to find a good way to seal them up. Ive read Varathane has some good stuff. I also heard about this paint called Ecos Paint they make a reptile specific paint. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks Paul

Did you check out the MSDS sheet for the Ecos reptile paint? It says it is acrylic and a water based paint.
While I am not going to volunteer an opinion on safety, I've had many years of personal experience painting with acrylic water based paint, most on interior walls. I'm not sure the paint would hold up in enclosures that might have moisture, especially on the bottom of the enclosure. Perhaps you could purchase a small sample size can and try it out in the conditions of your enclosure including humidity, spilled water, etc.?
 
Spar urethane is good if you have at least 2 weeks to cure and air out, polycryllic if you only have a week to cure and air out (it stinks bad too but it's water based so should air out a little quicker). With either you need a lot of coats and follow the directions on min time between coats. Both will help seal the wood and make it somewhat smooth which helps with cleaning. A bar top epoxy will create a better seal that's even easier to cleanup but it's too expensive for my taste.
 
There is a lot of talk about silicone I vs II. Silicone II is made specifically to not continue to have the vinegar smell. If you have at least a week, get Window and Door Silicone I. If you have less than a week to air out, get Silicone II.
