In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Sellers Beware of John Franco!

I don't know if it is a matter of paypal refunding the money or not. It is my understanding that when you file a claim, paypal locks assets on that account. So it might be hard for her to refund the money anyway. if you have 151 dollars on that account and paypal locks 150 dollars of it, it makes it hard to pay someone back. I don't fully understand all the rules for paypal either so I should probably store it.

Paypal originally sided with the seller and released her funds. That is when she refunded the payment of $150. John was able to file an appeal, which is when PayPal sided with him, as he wrote in the note section Female.

Unfortunately, the refund was not the only thing I was hoping to get out of Ms. Peterson. I was hoping she would do a refund, apologise for her behaviour, and learn from her mistakes.

Heck, I am now down to just hoping she learns from her mistakes and placing her on my do not buy from list.
Paypal refunded the buyer, Mariah now owes Paypal $150.

Posting this again. Writing female in the note section saved his butt. Probably a good idea to do this with all Paypal transaction, especially in this industry.:(

Finally a happy ending story!!! I'm so glad John got back the rest. Even though the title to this BOI is false I'm glad she posted it. Now everyone will know to steer clear of Mariah. This was an epic backfire post!! Lmao
Come on Mariah just one more post from you. Pretty please. Lol

I'm glad PayPal agreed that the "female" wasn't quite as described and refunded the buyer.

Ironic that Mariah started this thread to begin with. She could have salvaged her reputation by being willing to listen to what so many had to say, but she made the choice to be "right" at all costs.

I said previously that her bad rep only cost her $150. Well, now it's free. How's that for :shootfoot ?

I would like to set something straight....I am calling you out John Franco!! I know Mariah Peterson personally and happen to know that you are not being totally honest. If you want to attack someone's integrity then you should tell the truth!! PayPal did NOT refund your money as you have a stated. Mariah refunded your $150 payment like she stated she would after PayPal denied your claim. PayPal does NOT cover payment plans. I doubt they would find in her favor and then turn around and pay you. I see a pattern here of you not accepting terms and conditions on more than one instance. Apparently you must not have been confident in your story or you would not have felt the need to lie about the outcome. I feel everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it does help to have all the correct information as well. If PayPal in fact paid you, then post a pic of the refund.

Mariah didn't have a claim to post since John was the one who filed before should could refund anything.

Well she would have something stating a won claim and then something showing her paying $150 to Mr.Franco. Also it is still my understanding that he got two payments of $150 for all $300 back. You just state she actually refunded that voluntarily not forced by PayPal. So she should have proof for two separate $150 payments to Mr.Franco.

If you are so concerned about Mariah's reputation, you should tell her to come here and post pics or share information. Because all she did was start this thread, get bashed up and down for not doing what the majority thought was the right thing, and then passing the buck off to paypal to handle.

If your a friend of Mariah's, do yourself a favor and let this thread get buried, most of us see this as a seller more concerned with keeping someone's money on a technicality than correcting a misunderstanding regarding what sex the animal is. She admits she could have been more direct and even affirmed statements of "she" and "female" when corresponding with the buyer, based on that it should have been a quick, hey your right here's your money back and be done with it. The craziest thing about this thread is that Mariah started it, honestly most feel John should have and have suggested he still do so. Everyone is whole now, unless a skeleton shows up in John's closet I can't see many people changing their mind about this transaction, no matter who they agree with.

If the paypal Claim was denied and Mariah did refund the money it should be very easy for her to post screen shots here of proof of that. If she's worried about her reputation it would be in her best interest to do so. If that is really what happened I'm honestly really surprised she hasn't already done it. If I were in her shoes I would have posted them as soon as I was done sending the funds back.

My understanding was, Mariah refunded the payment he made as friends & family and upon appeal, PayPal refunded the initial deposit made.
