In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sergio Martinez BAD GUY

If you don't know how to sex a snake, then why are you advertising a 4.1 group of BP's for sale. The ad has different prices depending upon what sex ratio is bought.

How can you sell sexed animals when you have no idea if they are what you claim?

They should be sold as unsexed but judging from what I have seen regarding your past deals, doing that would be a stretch.

No Jim

You may want to re-read my ad - the first six words second paragraph - "I'm selling them as sex unknown" then the reason was clearly stated as well as my scale counts from when I did probe them. The fact that they arrived into my possession improperly sexed one would assume that the person previously sexing them may have also had a problem determining proper sex. I beleive when they arrived to me they were 40 gram hatchlings - easily popped so I didn't bother probing them until I sold them. Again I'm being needlessly critisized for fully disclosing pertinant information on the animals I'm selling. Thanks - Maybe for my next ad will only put down snake for sale.

I guarantee proper sexing on my animals - and I can guarantee that they haven't been needlessly run through by someone with no idea what they were doing. BTW the only different prices is if you buy the whole clutch - not dependant on sex ratios at all. And I stand behind every animal I sell if anyone has a problem with one I would be happy to work something out.

BTW the only different prices is if you buy the whole clutch - not dependant on sex ratios at all.

Oh my mistake.
It's one price for the 4.1 lot and another for the entire clutch that you have listed as 5.2
I guess the different prices and sex ratios have nothing to do with each other then.

BTW, how do you know what sex they are if you didn't sex them? I would be very leary of posting ANY BP for sale if I didn't verify the sex myself but maybe that's just me. I wouldn't want to have someone upset if they bought a 5.2 clutch and that is not what they were shipped.

Hate to break up this love fest, but last time I checked this thread wasn't about ToshaMc..... :)
:>off_to<: Amen to that Sam..Matt has a serious problem and I think we should stick to the problem at hand..It is looking pretty bad for Mr Martinez right about now.

I know it might be hard to tell by my lousy pics but the snakes that were posted that came from Tosha were not the ones Sergio sent me, wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to healthy looking then the garbage he sent.

BTW, Michele how did you get that map of Sergio's neighborhood? It's pretty interesting.

LOL!:hehe: Most of the bigger counties in Florida have a Property Appraiser (Real Estate Taxes) section on their websites. If you have an address or owner's name or portfolio number..you would be amazed at what kind of information you can find out ...

what happend with the other matter we talked about eariler? Anything?

Steve

There are three prices one for individuals, one for the 4.1 that I have for sale and one for the whole clutch including my holdbacks which are not otherwise for sale .

I never said that I did not sex them - I don't probe hatchlings - but can pop them quite well - it's fairly easy and accurate when they are babies. This is common practice.

As it was pointed out - this thread is not about me - I thought since someone decided to drag me into it - I would verify the origins of the two snakes that I sold to him. If anyone else needs further information on either the two snakes I sold to him or regarding the transaction - I am happy to help.

Hate to beat a dead horse here but when will people realize that bidding on animals in an on-line auction is almost as good as taking a bath while dropping a toaster in the water connected to a power sourse? If I could somehow get a dollar for every bad guy, bad deal or totally ripped off post I see that has come about through deals brokered through Reptibid or whatever on-line bs site I'd be driving a new fancy Lotus. I will find a way!!

Now, I am sure there are quite a few people that have gotten a good deal and walked away happy BUT it seems a lot of these bad guy threads I have been reading since the inception of that site tend to be connected. Bottom line is you aren't going to get quality for nothing and like any smart person will tell you if the deal is too sweet you'll probably be paying the difference up the rear.

Get wise and buy from reputable breeders. In the Ball Python World there are just WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too many good breeders out there to excuse this really bad choice. Heck, you can't go to a show nowadays without walking down rows and rows and rows and rows filled with breeders of these snakes - the Florida Expo should be basically be re-named "The National Ball Python Breeder's Expo" for pete's sake. If you are buying 50%, 66%, 147% or whatever het Albino BP's you should know this although I am in complete agreement that the seller is scum :dunce: .

Matt Jillson

I agree with you Matt and as a general rule I almost never buy from online auctions. I think this was the third time that I bought something from an auction since Reptibid came on. The first two times were decent transactions, this one as we all know was not. I almost never even go to Reptibid's site but I guess I must of been bored or something and the 50% possible hets caught my eye. I have been looking for 50 or 66 % females and as many of you know they are seldom seen on the market offered for sale.

Agreed man, it is very, very tempting to see these auctions and imagine the savings let alone the profits you'll make. This whole thing just sucks as it is yet another example of the slime that mingles with the good guys in the Reptile hobby. Hope you can somehow get a refund but unfortunately because the site itself doesn't get too involved from what I have heard it isn't likely this will be righted. Mental note: DO NOT BUY FROM ANYONE ON REPTIBID. No offense to the good guys out there who conduct themselves in a professional manner on that site but when someone craps in the pool it affects everyone. :hot:

To Much Wrong Here

Matt, You should try and contact Tim K. and find out if he has any pics of the animals he sold to Sergio Martinez. I know Tim wouldn't sell animals of such poor quality as those. Did you say the animals you received don't match up with the pics from the auction? Needless to say you can be sure they're not "possible" hets.
On another note, despite what everyone says about Reptile Auction, I've both bought and sold many animals there and have had very good luck for the most part. You just have to do your homework beforehand on the people you're dealing with as in any transaction. At least now people using that site or the classifieds can check here and realize what a tool Sergio is. Sorry you got ripped.

Greg,
I did email Tim yesterday and also attempted to make contact via phone yesterday as well as today with no luck as of yet. As far as doing my homework I checked this site as I always do when I am not familiar with the person. I could not find any match here so I relied on his feedback on the auction site which was decent.

If any of Tim friend's have his number can you let me know if I have the right one, the last four digits are 8529. Thanks

anyone in the market for some Ball Pythons?

Look, Sergio claims his son is a "doctor in biology" in reference to another one of his ads today. Must be were he gets all his knowledge for caring for those fine specimans he sent.

If it is a sibling, it is NOT a het. Yellow bellies are co-dominant, not recessive. A het ivory to an Ivory is the same as a pastel to a super pastel, end of story. I also can show you lots of animals with a faded head and whites on the sides latterally, but they are just normals.

Did you breed the Het Ivory to a Normal yourself, or were you sold what was supposed to be Het Ivory sibs?? Here is a pic of a real Het Ivory and I just posted the same info on another ad.

http://gallery.pethobbyist.com/data/64834Het.JPG

If they weren't like this when they hatched, then they are normals, or in other words Het Ivory sibs. That is not to say that there couldn't be a hidden gene in there, because that is very possible. Not enough is known about the Het Ivory/Yellow Belly lineage to be sure as of yet.

thats nice to know but my son is a dr in biology and according to him they carry the geans and as you said there is not much known of the snake but there is much known of punnett squares and it states they carry the geans.just to be on the safe side I added they are siblins ,look normal except for the marks and blood.but either way your jumping into something you think you know about and you have no clue.thats like me telling a doctor how to operate and posting pics of it.so unless you have a degree in biology or are 100% sure on the genes of these siblins you should not jump into conclusions.

All I can say is...wow. I feel that much dumber having read his reponses about the misrepresented snakes and the unreasonably impatient demands for payment.

so unless you have a degree in biology or are 100% sure on the genes of these siblins you should not jump into conclusions.

Is Bruce Eisenman Ph.D. around? He could certainly help us clear this mess up...
