In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So, our first clutch is about a week out of the egg now, and all of the babies have shed out and have been moved to their new tubs. So we decided we should try our hand at sexing them. My fiancee is a great popper, but for some reason, just can't manage to get it down with these guys. We also ordered a probe kit, for a more "definite" id, but that just gave us more questions than answers. First I probed them on my own and determined 3 females, 2 males. I told my fiancee we should pop them again and he should try probing them just to be sure. He had the same issues popping, and when we probed the second time, they all probed to about the same depth, which didn't really help things. I even probed a couple of my older snakes to get a feel for it and still no dice.
I've watched all the videos and read all the techniques, I just don't get it. Are they really all one sex, or is something not going right?

More importantly, anyone in the Philadelphia/West Chester area that could maybe help us with this problem in person?

Good luck with the new babies, no help here except to say you might leave the probes alone until someone shows you in person how to use them.

I agree, it would be a good idea to have some one show you how to probe. If done incorrectly, it can do some damage to the sexual organs and your snake will be useless for breeding and you would never know it, nor would the person your selling it too. Popping can do damage just the same.
