    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I purchased a Vision cage through ebay from a seller with the ebay ID 'Crestiesmb' and paid instantly through paypal. I Have had large items sent parcel post take up to a month so i was very patient before i started to inquire about my item. after 30 days i emailed the seller who responded with an apology. He claimed there was an issue on his end and that the item WAS already shipped and in good faith he would refund my shipping ($30). Since the item was already shipped i agreed. i waited another 30 days but due to my own ignorance of ebay and paypal i didnt realize after 60 days they will not investigate. After another month the seller broke all contact and i was out $60. While i understand my ignorance of ebay/paypal policy is responsible for me being out the money, what he did was plain wrong and criminal. I am not concerned about getting my $60 back. Everything in life is an education and education is rarely free. What bothers me is that i filed a police report and nothing came of it. They dont really care. People have went to jail for less money. I hate thiefs and liars so i did my own investigating as this person still posts freely on his ebay account. I discovered his name is Shannon brooks he is from Scottsburg NY his girlfriend whom he lives with is named Rose bourgoine. Shannons cell phone # is 585-236-3294 and their home phone # is 585-335-6683. Their address is 5644 scottsburg rd 14545. Ebay name 'crestiesmb' I know they are into geckos. I know its immature but so is stealing and lying so feel free to give the guy a call and tell him we dont like thieves in our hobby.

Yeah, it is - immature, that is - to suggest everyone "feel free" to call the guy.
Stealing is criminal, so the dude is a common thief.
Lying is unethical, so the dude obviously can't be trusted & has no character.

Sorry you're out $60.00. Thanks for the warning and the guy's info.

Yes i know paypal has buyer protection. It is 60 days. I obviously contacted them and they would not do anything. Just because it has never taken more than two weeks for you to receive something does not change the fact that i have seen USPS parcel post take upwards of a month. I posted that i did indeed make a mistake. Does that make it right for someone to steal from me? Im not sure what you mean about it being 'personal' but if your implying that no crime was committed and i am just smearing someones name you need to take the time to read my post again.

Amazingly, ltdtokay ("John Smith") registered using the email [email protected]. For some reason that just has a funny ring to it...give me a minute, I'll figure it out.

Sorry to hear you got ripped off. Is it just me or does it seem like more and more scum is coming into the hobby? People wonder why I wont send money and will drive 500 miles to pick something up...well.

Not sure how you figure I'm taking sides by enforcing the rules of this site; but, whatever. I'm not going to quote you, or check on anything regarding this situation - if you want your side told, or to dispute the claim, post it right here.
And don't forget to contact WebSlave about changing the name in your profile, or anything you have posted will be removed when your account is banned.
 
I am very interested in hearing Rose/Shannons side to the story. I am curious how it is 5 months later, i do not have the vision cage i paid for or the money i sent. Also curious as to why they have stopped answering my emails. I cant say for sure that wether it was Shannon or Rose who scammed me as they both use to same emails ect. What i can be certain of is that i was ripped off and the person who ripped me off is a proven liar.
 
Sorry, but I was contacted by this person, and he or she claimed the account name should be under Shannon Brooks, yet the email address ([email protected]) indicated someone else. Apparently whoever this is apparently wants to play footloose and fancy free with the truth. There were ample notices all over this site about a REAL full name being required during registration but he or she chose to ignore that requirement. At this point whoever this is has absolutely no credibility with me at this point.

The account has already been banned by Harald and the posts made by that account deleted. That is the bed he or she chose to make and sleep in as far as I am concerned.
 
After reading the response to the initial infraction, and the email I received, I figured it was Shannon - that's why I included him in the last two posts. I would have no problem lifting the ban if you choose to put Shannon's name on the account (the deleted post wasn't terribly relevant, anyway).
Otherwise, as far as I am concerned, there is nothing stopping Shannon from registering an account in his own name if he wants to address this thread.

(This is why I specifically said to include me as a recipient...had I seen an indication that Shannon had made an effort to correct his information before the deadline, I would not have banned the account)
