In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Shannon Brown owes me $1150

Sorry this is Nichol posting and I'm not real knowlegeable with reptiles. My husband informed me of this after I posted the post. Sorry for typo.

Price of Pastels

Rich and Nichol, It seems to me the price of pastels has drooped significantly since earlier in the year. Maybe Shannon's waiting for the ultimate deal which is not fair to you since he's getting the best of this deal. I hope you get what was promised you soon.

I too was going to say that I hope you get what was promised to you.

But if you were promised a pastel male ball python......and a het for pastel female................................

YOU WILL NEVER GET IT.

Pastel does not come in hets.

I think there is a lesson here: never buy something that doesn't yet exist!

I can understand wanting something that is in limited production but just a small down payment should be sufficient to hold potential offspring and you won't be out of a large sum of money if something were to happen down the road.

Excellent point Gene!

Refund

I will keep everyone informed about the situation. Shannon stated that he would have the rest of the money by Monday and right now I don't have reason to doubt him. As for giving deposits on animals not yey conceived, this is a common practice and ensures a collector like myself the best animals possible.Yes it can be a hassle if someone does not want to give a proper refund. But one must take proper steps like paying by paypal or postal M.O. only to ensure a speedy refund.

Eric, If you don't mind me asking, how much was the purchase price of the snake in question? While I agree a deposit to hold a snake is common practice, anything more than 25% seems a bit excessive. Of course, it is also a good idea to not spend the persons deposit if there is a chance that the snake they are buying won't be produced, since that person, you in this case, would probably expect their deposit be returned. :)

Well my deal with Shannon has been completed. He made good on our deal and I am happy with the snakes I received. They both came with records and I am pleased with the snakes.

Also, want to make sure I clarify my error on my original post. I was never promised a het pastel. I was promised a female from the same clutch as the Pastel male.

Hope there are no hard feelings Shannon.

Glad to hear it!

That's good news Eric. I didn't think you'd get stiffed but it's unfortunate you didn't get what you wanted.
