    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Thanks Trevor,I am aware of this,however it does little to convince me that KINGSNAKE should have no liability for a service they make ALOT of money from.
I feel that the rating system would work even in the "open" loop because BOTH parties leave feedback for public viewing,resulting in pressure for both buyer and seller to maintain positive feedback.No one WANTS a bad rep.Most would police themselves knowing feedback is reciprocal.
However,I still feel that KINGSNAKE is shrugging responsibility for monitoring their own site and being accountable for its users.Hire a staff member to monitor feedback issues,there would not be that many-it's not Ebay with thousands of transactions.
All of my transactions,(buying and selling)have been perfect.I don't think there are enough dishonest people on kingsnake to cause a deluge of feedback disputes!!!!!!!!!!

If Rich has a good guy/bad guy section certainly Kingsnake could.
Personally,I think both sites should merge-both have strengths and weaknesses,but the combination is appealing and would better serve the community and those with an interest in reptiles and amphibians.
 
You know what? I have had to sell some of the gems of my collection in order to pay a debt. Yes, it sucked but as an honest person with morals I had to do it. Reptiles are replacable, a reputation is usually not. Shannon, if you are reading this, please, do the right thing and get all these debts paid! I urge anyone else that Shannon owes money to to post here. The BOI is still a very valuable tool in our industry (thank you RZ) and the more pressure that is put on him the better.

so instead of whining here about why KS doesn't do this or that, why don't you email good ole jeff and ask him to create a special position just for you to play overseer of the classifieds.

There are over 200 classified forums on that entire site and if you were to take a conservative estimate of 5 ads per forum per day that's comes to over 1000 ads per day. Mind you several forums over there average 20-100 or more ads per day. I'm sure that you would love to take the time to monitor each of those 1000+ ads every single day for quality control, spotting spammers, scammers, making sure people ain't breaking local laws, etc. and to keep track of whatever comments made by people if there was a feed back system put into place to insure that no unwarranted libel, slander, defamation, lies, exaggerations, or whatever comments are allowed to stay up that could very well cause a law suit and ruin someone's reputation in the business. How much do you think such a job would pay? How many hours in a day would it take you considering the classifieds are open 24/7/365. ?

programmers and web developers and software cost money. servers and other equipment cost money. other business related expenses cost money. lawyers cost money. basic necessary staff cost money. Making tons of money there they are huh. Yeah right.

sarcasm aside. I don't see any feedback system ever being put in place over there.
 
Whats funny is all the people sitting on the sideline keeping there mouths shut.. if this post was about someone know one knew there would probably be a dozen BOI members crawling up Shannon's inards right now. Interesting to see how indifferent some of the members here and on Kingsnake(esp. the Milk and King forums) are to his actions..makes you wonder why..too bad all this indifference keeps people like him in business. I guess it is ok to be friends with a crook. As long as he is not screwing you.

Also nice for honest breeders to compete with a guy who built his collection up by stealing money from Sears and other reputable breeders..you would think the prison time he served for this would of taught him a lesson.

Not that it really matters but I don't know why you keep bringing up the fact that I am still posting on K-snake.It really has nothing to do with OUR issue.

Also,I didn't place a ad on kingsnake offering cash for a snake.I placed a ad on kingsnake stating that I had 5 female pueblans and was in need of a male.It was pulled right away also because they considered it a trade ad.
I have just recently begin working again and as soon as I get back on my feet I will be payng the people that I owe.If I had no intentions of paying anybody then I would be long gone by now but thats not even close to the fact.

As for Justin,He has no idea what he is talking about.I have never spent one day in prison and I never stole one penny from Sears.Not that it would matter anyway.Justin should stay out of this as he is the biggest hipocrite that I have ever known.
How much do you still owe Randy on that Aberrant project Justin??yeah,thats what I thought.I talk to Randy all the time and he never made a payment plan with you like you claim.Not that it matters but look who is calling the kettle black.

Seems like a recurring theme with deadbeats around here, and you will be unmercifully shredded, if you do not make an HONEST attempt to take care of this.

THEN in Daytona I saw you in the lobby of the Adams Mark, I approached you and introduced myself.I knew you had Vanishing animals and I have my own line,so obviously I wanted to meet you.

YOU ARE STILL MISSING THE POINT!!!!!!!!!

IF you were really a friend you would not treat your friends the way you do.

The big point you are missing(and dude,I feel like I am parenting here)is that you do not incur thousands of dollars of debt running on others faith and trust in you to let them wait YEARS to get their money!
