In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy sharlaxle--Chamtastic Chameleons

When you have time, read through this: http://webnet77.com/webstuff/copyright.html

Ok and thank you for the information :) I will make it a point to look it up this weeked.
As for those of you saying this isn't the same chameleon I would like to know what you are basing your observation on and how long you have been involved with the raising and keeping of chameleons please. I simply want to understand your level of expertise in chameleons and the various color changes and phases of the Ambilobe panther in particular.

I've been keeping for over 20 years and been breeding for over 10. I have produced thousands of chameleons. Elena had it right the bars never change even though coloration will and those 2 don't match up. Simple as that.

Patrick, I accept your experience, and your view point however I must respectfully disagree.
Before I hop off for the night I will state this.
I was alerted to this thread by a message from someone who saw it. I was never contacted by the OP who took offense.. No are you sure, or please I think you have a picture that is mine. I then came here to find accusations that I had a bad picture and misrepresented hatchlings. So I did as I was asked and went beyond. I posted picts of my chameleon as he grew up (dates in the 2012), I even managed to find the breeders information showing when I got him. I have dates showing when they were took, and I know that while colors change ( including bar colors) that the basic pattern of the bar (it's shape) does not.
Carrots always had lovely bars. They do match.
I have not seen proof from the accuser of how my panther is not the sire. In the baby pictures under his add you can see the same blinds, I can snap a picture of the blasted climbing vine. Are the angles different yes, I'm sorry he is not around to show you more of him or to take a new picture at the exact same angle.

You can disagree all you want but the fact remains those are 2 different chameleons. I'm not really caring who owns which chameleon. I'm was just adding in that those are in fact 2 different chameleons which was already pointed out by another.

Sharlaxle,

The chameleon in the photo in question is absolutely not the chameleon in the photos you provided. That is a different animal. The bars and patterning don't match in any way, shape, or form. Its also hard to claim any level of credibility when the logo on your page (screenshot attached) is also of an infringed photograph taken from FL Chams (http://flchams.com/inventory/PatchanSambavaFired(3).jpg). A definite pattern of you taking other people's photography and using it for your benefit without credit is emerging.

Chris

Come on!

The blinds and cage decoration in the background are EXACTLY (to the location of pin holes of light) the same in the photo on your site and Raphaels' photo.

Did you copy his room decor EXACTLY????

I would first like to point out that I did email sharlaxle within 10 minutes of replying to Snake-Queen's post. I did not think it was necessary to contact her, especially since I was 100% sure that was my photo that she was posting everywhere claiming that she owned it.

Secondly I did not say that you did not own the chameleon you posted in the thread, all I said and what everyone else is saying is that you did not own my chameleon or the chameleon photo that you posted everywhere. The chameleon that you posted and my chameleon are totally different chameleons. I also have plenty of pictures of my chameleon if you are not satisfied with the pictures I already posted.

Kerri,

If you are using other's photos without permission that is copyright infringement.
That is serious enough by itself but once your customers are aware that you do not own the critters you are displaying pictures of (and in this case explicitly labelled as sires of babies you are selling), they are going to wonder who the real sire is of the babies they might buy and in fact question anything you might say about any of the chameleons you are producing.

I agree the backgrounds in both pictures are 100% the same. I have no doubt she used his picture.

The chameleon that belongs to Raphael, is numbered "1", the chameleon that belongs to Kerri, is numbered "2".

The evidence shows that one photo that she used, is actually Raphael's.

The circled areas show that she did use his photo.

Hello and I am sorry I have been unable to respond.
While I would have argued endlessly about this, after looking at the pictures posted by snake queen I have to say, that I am sorry I apparently did use a picture that was not mine.
So I am saying formally: SnakeKing,
I am sorry I had the picture on my computer and thought it was mine. I will immediately remove it from my computer and try to remove it from anything I may have posted up.
Once again I am sorry, I made a mistake.

Thank you SnakeQueen, the drawings you posted immediately made me see what people were talking about. Without someone showing me the difference I would have continued to believe I was right.
Once again I apologize.

Never write when you are upset. Obviously I can't type properly. I wanted to correct the name.

While your apology is nice and all...

I call BS. You got caught, and instead of admitting that you lied, you're now saying that "you made a mistake"? Like you didn't know that you didn't have those same blinds in the picture, and that it wasn't your lizard. Your lizard didn't look like the OP's lizard, and you know it. You're just trying to save face now.

You should have never had his picture on your computer in the first place, so you knew what you were doing.

Have you sold babies prior to this?

I would be so mad if I bought from you under false pretenses like this!

Stealing pics and deliberately misrepresenting genetic info is just plain horrible.

I am sorry I had the picture on my computer and thought it was mine
Seriously? You actually believed you took that photo of Raphael's cham? Yeah, okay.

It was completely obvious when you first posted "Carrots" photo ... to everyone.

Two stolen photos certainly doesn't do much to further a reputation, let alone inspire trust.
