If you want to make a legitimate business out of this, treat your customers with respect. Learn proper shipping methods. Be able to go the extra mile to ensure that everyone knows you're a good guy. Don't respond to criticism (which is perfectly legitimate in this case, your packing was substandard to say the least) with petty insults. The only one making you look bad here is you.

It's not like you didn't have an opportunity to defend yourself, Mr. Carter. No one's damaging your reputation, you've done all this yourself. If this thread is costing you business, why couldn't it be because they see how you treat your animals and customers and prefer not to buy from people with those ethics? These threads allow people to read and judge for themselves.

Looking at that box you yourself posted as something you'd ship in, I sure the hell wouldn't buy from you. I've seen bums living in better.

I started this thread with thoughts about bringing attention to your incredibly bad packing job on the dragon I bought from you.

Then you post that you ship all your dragons in the same manner winter or summer. its the worst possible situation for any animal you ship under those conditions.

I want nothing from you other then you to start using some sort of insulated shipping box....thats all.

PM me and I will send you a link where you can buy good shipping boxes cheap.

You're right.A friend once told me never to respond to criticism.I couldn't help it when I seen this forum.It really took me out of my character.Thanks for the words of wisdom.I honestly appreciate it.I mad a bad judgement call on my shipping this one time and I'm being crucified for it.

You know what Ed. I apologized to you in an earlier post and I'm going to apologize to you again.It's not in my character to argue back and forth trading insults.It also make my business look worse.I was absolutely furious when I seen this post and still am which is the cause for my outburst.You didn't even discuss this problem with me.You made this post without me even knowing about it.How would you feel if you were running a business and stumbled across something like this??I find it a month after it was posted.Also your going so far out to basically destroy which is completely working.Your taking posts from other websites and everything else.So do you know how many thousand of people read this and will never do business with me??All over a bad judgment call.I live on my business.I do insulate my boxes.The only reason I didn't insulate your box was simply because of the weather being warmer and someone told me be careful not to burn the animal up.So I considered that fully and didn't insulate thinking it will be too hot for the dragon.Your first post was like " He cared so little for the animal" and what not but that was completely untrue.I dedicate everything I have to this hobby.I spend thousand of dollars and every spare second I have on my dragons.There have been times where I spent rent and bill money on my dragons just to ensure the have what they need.(I'm sure we've all been there!)I have only been doing this for a short time compared to most but every dragon I received was the similar to the way I ship so that's what I had to go on.Due to the fact I always received my dragons fine I figured that was the way to go.Seeming that your more experienced in the shipping area.I would have expected you to say Hey your shipping is completely wrong this is how you should do it.Not make this forum about me not even knowing my half or even discussing the issue.I thought you were a cool dude on the phone you know and you probably are.I understand you knowing a better ship method would obviously make you mad seeing mine and also knowing the price of the dragon.I just feel you should have dealt with me personally before deciding on this.Me personally I would try to help a fellow breeder before trying to destroy him.Id be happy to hear you shipping method.After this will probably use it!!I ensure now that I am better educated on the subject I will ALWAYS insulate.(Because I do insulate even before your ship.)Maybe we'll even do future business again.I'm not going to hold a grudge over this even though I am still furious about it and wish it wasn't on here.I learn from my mistakes and move forward.I'm to far ahead to stop now. No Eds box was a completely different box.I don't know why some people on here have nothing to do with this situation and do not know me at all but still pass judgment.Look at Ed's box and the box I used for my example.2 completely different boxes.All I did wrong here was not insulate his box.A bad call on my behalf.I explained over and over why I did not insulate the box.I do insulate in most cases.I offered him a refund for the mistake.

The e-mail is a personal e-mail for people that like to criticize and give negative views and opinions.I did not know this site was ran buy a 10 year old.I thought it was ran by a professional.My jaw actually hit the floor when I seen someone who I thought was once again "Professional" post a personal e-mail I sent to him.He ignores my request to remove my account.He is enslaving my to his website to be publicly humiliated by even himself/herself personally.I honestly am looking to see if it's legal to do so.

Yes, I am serious. If you don't want to participate here, then leave. No one is twisting your arm to be here.

Yeah, it is easy for people to say what they want here. I guess not everyone really cares for freedom and would prefer to participate in a more tightly controlled environment where freedom is much more strictly controlled. I'm sure websites hosted in Communist China are probably much like that. Point of the matter is that people WILL make decisions based on their opinions, which is why those opinions are allowed to be freely expressed here. Everyone's business practices as well as other pertinent criteria are subject to scrutiny and the opinions that develop based on what they see. You can either be on the right side of those opinions, or the wrong side. That choice is completely up to you. People will also be using your reaction to such opinions to influence their own opinions concerning future dealings with you. Unfortunately, I also afford people the freedom to squander a potential opportunity to make themselves look golden by taking the high road, but they miss that turn and blunder onto the low road instead. Again, that choice has been, and is, completely up to you. And no, I will not cover up that chosen path after the fact for you.

You came to me for help? Well if you consider DEMANDS and threads of legal action as being requests for help, then maybe that would certainly be true.

If you don't want to participate on Fauna why do you keep logging on and posting to the thread? Just don't log on anymore and then you won't have to worry about what is being said on here. The BOI is a place for other herpers to know about others experiences with an individual or business in the industry. The way I see it is if you changed you packaging and used boxes with styrofoam and heat packs or ice packs depending on the conditions this issue would be resolved. To keep arguing and throwing out threats is what will make you a bad guy and make others not want to do business with you in the future. And if you go and read other threads in the BOI you will see as soon as someone gets a bad guy thread they are wanting their account deleted thinking that will make the bad guy thread go away. I would suggest using proper packaging and maybe this thread will be forgotten after you have some good guy posts under your name showing that the shipping was proper and that everything arrived in healthy and great condition. These are my 2 cents on the subject.

This site is not ruining your business. Your poor shipping practices and incredibly immature behavior are ruining your business. You should be grateful that you have the opportunity to respond to any criticisms on this site in an effort to rectify your errors. If you had responded to Ed's original posts with an apology and sincere promise that future shipments will be done properly, everyone would see you're a good guy and that would be that. Instead, you responded like a petulant child that refuses to admit when he's wrong even when faced with a mountain of evidence. All this thread has done is just allowed yourself to show your true colors, the colors of an immature, whiny, arrogant, and deceitful child.

Admit your mistakes, and learn to treat people with respect. Or you can continue to make an ass of yourself, make a joke out of your business and continue to drive it into the ground.
