In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Shawn Carter/Bridgedragons.com

Mr.Carter, I saw it in one of the pictures that was with the original post supplied by you or Mr. Clark. If this was not a picture by you then I apologize for the misunderstanding, but a picture was supplied to this post that showed a picture of boxes on a shelf that has screen on one side. If you did not supply this picture and Mr.Clark did not send this picture then it does not need to be in the post and should be edited if possible. Again I apologize for the misunderstanding on the box Mr.Carter, but I do still stand by what I said in the post and I hope you understand that it is just my opinion of the circumstances that had been posted. Again, thanks for reading and clarifying the box picture for me Mr.Carter. Sincerely, AndreaH
No the screened boxes were just in the pic.I was showing the plastic containers I put the dragons in!Sorry for the confusion!

How do you work things out after the damage was done?

I recieved a severly chilled dragon...nothing that would be said would correct that situation.

It was not an isolated mistake, thats the way he has been shipping for a long time he said in 1 of his posts.

All he needs to do is start using insulated boxes of some kind to protect the live animals in the box from cold or heat.
No I said I always insulate my boxes.I said your box I made the bad judgment of not insulating due to warmer temps.I didn't want to burn up the animal.Everything is fine and it will NEVER happen again.I cannot believe you Ed.The way your acting and responding is like you received a dead animal. Are you telling me in your lifetime you have never made a mistake??From what the post above says from AndreaH you've made mistakes yourself.I don't see you on here labeled a bad guy due to your mistakes so why am I on here for a minor shipping incident.I say minor because the animal is absolutely fine.I mean come on.Even if you did receive a dead animal you would have been refunded immediately.Your a really hard up guy and it's not a good way of living life.Just let it go it's over with and will NEVER happen again. You should remove me from this forum due to the fact I don't even deserve to be here rather then keep responding so harshly.

Okay.I'm sorry Ed.You are on here as a bad guy like 4-6 times maybe more.I didn't feel like going through all the forums. So is this your way of felling better about that by continuing to rip me apart over a minor shipping incident?I think you have more of your own problems to worry about due to that fact instead of holding a grudge with me over something so small.Your animal is fine.Shes was just a little chilled due to winter shipping. She is from a desert climate. She is fine let it go.I would still do business with you any day. I do not hold grudges.Thank You

okay so all in all Mr. Carter just do better shipping practices and Ed try working things out before you jump the gun and start saying some one is a "bad guy" every body makes mistakes only difference is if you learn from from them and lets hope he did

i mean no reptile should have gone through this but still you were kinda eager there, heck i gave you a chance to explain to me why you sent me a dud stud and a female with a broken rib and that you claimed we're your finest red breeders... oh well....

OK..I am probably going to get burned at the stake for posting this BUT........

When I ship animals I do use insulate boxes that I purchased new but RARELY do people use them to ship to me. One in fifteen.... maybe? Used boxes aren't an inssue as long as an animal is shipped how I want it done. I don't always agree with how people ship and I can see where if the temps were around the 60s someone might not use insulation even for stability. Neither the seller or the buyer discussed this so the seller made a judgement call, good or bad, but the buyer should have made it clear what he expected instead of dumping it all on the seller.

To avoid any confusion AND to ship and recieve animals I give very specific instructions.

When I ship I tell people what type and size of box, insulation thickness, how many if any heatpacks/coldpacks will be used, what type of container the animal is in and how it is secured in the box as well as the shipper I use and when it will arrive and so on.

When I am having animals shipped to me I tell the seller exactly how I want them packed including insulation thickness, heatpacks/coldpacks, size of box and containers the animal witll be packed in as well as how it will be secured in the box ,when I expect it to arrive and so on

If we, as a seller or a buyer don't agree on how an animal is to be shipped that animal will not be purchased and will not be shipped.

Don't assume...COMMUNICATE.

See... this is a great consumer... lol seriously this is the model way to purchase an animal. I know most people wouldnt do this, but it is a great idea so as to avoid issue with the seller.

I also agree with the "E-hug" idea. lol

I know this is off topic, but - wow, it's your way regardless, huh? It's great that you tell buyers all that stuff...but what if they think something should be different. And what if a seller doesn't stock the box size, or insulation thickness you want...or just disagrees with your choice? In all likelihood, if a buyer ever laid all that out to me, I would refund their money before I even finished reading the email.

Why would you have to instruct a pro like shawn, he says he has been doing this for years?

For that matter why would you have to instruct anyone thats posing as a professional breeder how to safely ship a live animal?

okay ed dont take this the wrong way but i have read alot about you in the boi and honestly it doesnt make you look like a saint so give the kid a break he shipped an animal the wrong way EVERY body makes mistakes so come on now just get over it he said hes going to ship his animals right and thats all that can be done since you still have the beardie

Speaking of which, have all your bad guy threads been resolved yet, Ed?

That is what Ed is saying and I'm sure if he had talked to Shawn Shawn would have added the insulation. So yes, BOTH parties need to agree and not leave it up to just one side to make decisions. If Ed asked for insulation and Shawn refused then it would be up to Ed if he didn't want the animal because he was concerned it might get too chilled and endanger the animal.

When I have animals shipped to me I apologize but I do ask them how they ship first in detail if I haven't bought from them before. If there is something I would like added to what they do I let them know. It not just the responsibility of the seller to make all the decisions when it comes to shipping. It doesn't always occure to someone that I live in Michigan and things might need to be done differently then shipping in southern states. I also let them know if it is extra I will pay it. if they don't want to do it then there is no sale.

I've had lizards just dumped in a box with newspaper and mailed because I didn't ask. I've had pocket warmers dumped in boxes too. I do ask now.

I'm not specific about brands but if your going to dump a animal in a box with the animal crammed up against the sides of the cardboard box pushing out the sides because the box is too small, five pocket warmers and nothing more then newxpaper it ain"t gonna happen. So yeah, it would be my way or I'm not buying the animal.

I feel it is my responsibility as a buyer and a seller to do what I think is best to get an animal to its future home or to my home safely. If I am the one involved in the sale as buyer or seller I will have something to say about how it is to be shipped and I expect the other party to too. If we don't agree there is no sale. I feel it is just as important as the selling of an animal to discuss and agree on the shipping method used.
If a buyer asks me to do more then what I normally do I have no problem accomodating them. If they tell me not to insulate a box (just to make it cheaper not for saftey) or use two/three day delivery to save them a few dollars that won't happen either. Its the safety of the animal during shipping that is the concern and the reason I am so specific not the cost. Most people are pretty good about how they ship but if it isn't discussed it could be a problem.

My apologies for going off topic again, but that is a much different (and far more reasonable) statement than the first one you made. I don't think most sellers would object to somebody asking about their shipping methods, or to a reasonably stated request for something different...but that isn't what you described.

I can see where there was a misunderstanding in what I wrote which is why I took the time to try and phase it better. This time, I hope (fingers crossed), I think I succesfully conveyed what I was really trying to say about the shipping.

If people talk to each other and ask questions and come to an agreement FIRST it would go a long way.

I am hoping Ed and Shawn both got what I meant to say too so hopefully neither one of them have any further problems.
