    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Actually, Shawn doesn't have the rights he claims to have.  This is the Webslave's site and it is all of our PRIVILEGE to post here, not our RIGHT!  Get that through your head Shawn!  And...once again....  that would be LIBEL, not SLANDER.  It was actually neither.  It was sarcasim based on the last time you shipped.  What sexysnake should have added, was that in addition to the freezing, horribly packed snakes, she would have also gotten a vulger, in-deciferable,  profanity laced email.

Also, if you had actually taken responsibility for your "one bad deal," you probably wouldn't have all these problems.  Most everyone makes mistakes from time to time, it's how you correct them that shows what kind of a person and business person you are.  

The Webslave never said he would ban you for responding to people presenting facts or opinions about you.  He said he'd ban you if you couldn't think of words other than.....  well, the ones you've been using mostly.  What's the point of that anyway?  Do you think it intimidates people or something?  I guess you really don't seem to care, but all it does is make you look worse and even more childish each time you do.
 
Let me add a little to the general business practice of Mr. Skillings. The frozen and ,oh yes mite infested, pair of carpet pythons I purchased from him are now blowing mucus all over their enclosures. So now I have a $ 150 vet bill on top of the animals I purchased with the intent to breed this year, won't be happening now. Will I get any of that back? I didn't ship the animals poorly. I didn't use poor quality heat packs that he stated wouldn't last as long as it took to ship the animals. All I did was immediately Paypal him the money he asked for the animals and this is what I got in return. You make your own decision on if you want to purchase anything from him. I know I made the wrong choice.

I am stating that I have a 'zero+1' tolerance level for people whom can't make their point without profanity, vulgarity, or the usage of words that are just plain lacking in common decency.  I will give ONE and only one warning (thus the +1 after the zero).

I do notice that you exhibited some self control with your last message, so perhaps you do believe I am serious about my warning to you.  Thank you for the consideration.

There is no bias from me concerning you. I don't know you nor any of the people whom have made claims against you.  I evaluate the messages by the criteria I set for rules and respond accordingly.  There is NO rule that says someone cannot post a negative message in a thread that begins positively.  There is NO rule that says someone cannot refer to a previous event to help a reader judge the merits of the current thread.  There is NO rule that says someone cannot say something negative about Shawn Skillings/ The Vipers House.

In this thread YOU are the only one not following the rules by posting profanity within your messages.  And if I have to boot out every blessed person whom does this sort of thing from this day forward, then that is EXACTLY what I am going to do.

You WILL behave as an adult on MY website or you will be removed from it.  Period.

Yep, it's another bandwagon...of folks who don't have a problem following simple rules and expressing themselves in a reasonably intelligent and somewhat mature manner. Go figure!

i doubt it    ... and i have people all the time ( that are knowledged in reptiles )  see  my snakes and  im sure they would   love   to comment on that cause  alot of people  come to see my collection  and   none of my animals   are sick in anyway shape or form....    and to post this 10 days later      i see  u just want to sweeten that bad guy post as much as possible   ... they wernt even being cooled yet   they were in  88 degree temps  until u bought them ... soory  but ur accusations    now   just dont seem to add up   ..... they had   constant   regular eating habbits never refused food   , they have had  perfect sheds   since the day i got them   dont sound like sick snakes to me .....

this is just way to much    to comeback  here 10 DAYS  later  and post this now  .... i dont buy it
 
I'm not a snake guy...  But is it concievable for a snake to be exhibiting these symptoms 10 days after being exposed to extreme cold for a long period of time?  Like I said, I'm not a snake person, but it doesn't seem unreasonable.  Maybe I'm wrong?  I'll tell you one thing though, I've done business with David before and he's never been anything but 100% honest with me, and if he says the snakes are exhibiting these symptoms, I believe it.  Now, do we have any reason to doubt ol' Shawn?

    I really do not know what to say except everything that you post are now just so unbelievable I don't think you will get anyone to believe you.  You shipped those snakes horribly and now they are sick, and mite infested BAD!  You better check YOUR collection.
    What is this bandwagon you are talking about I didn't jump on any wagon, because if I had I would have posted what a great guy you are, jumping on the wagon with the first post.  So, see you have no idea what you are talking about.
    You should refund the money and shipping costs for the carpet pythons, you were wrong and need to make it right!
    All the profanity in the world will not make your case here, not to me nor anyone else.

You know I'm not going to jump on you just because everyone else is doing it.  I won't back off of someone just because everyone else is easing up either.  You KNOW that about me.

However, in this instance, I think you're trying to have your cake and eat it too.  You cannot leave the BOI, saying that it is full of posts that are more about personalities than facts and opinions, then, when someone comes on here posting opinions about you, jump all over that person and everyone else when they point out that you're not following the rules.

I mean, one of your stated problems with the BOI was that no one was being consistent with what the BOI is supposed to be, but when your toes got stepped on, you're now revelling in the fact that you refuse to post according to the rules.  Is that what the BOI is supposed to be?  Doesn't that seem to be a bit hypocritical on your part, Shawn?

Throwing around the bad language, talking about your "rights," and demanding the ability to post as you want (purposeful misspellings and bad grammar, for example) doesn't do anything but align people against you.  Really, Shawn, you ought to just leave this alone, let those who think poorly of you have their opinions, and recognize the actual right of the WebSlave to run his own website as he sees fit.  Of course, this is just my opinion, and you can also feel free to disregard every bit of it.

Ok Dr. Skillings, exactly how long does it take for the onset of a respitory infection to begin? Would you like to have a discusson with Dr. Scott Stahl on this? I doubt anyone on this board would like to disagree with him. Face the facts, you did a poor job of shipping the animals in questions they are now sick and the only way you could have resolved this was to refund and/or pay the vet bills. As for the mites, I have seperate holding and breeding facilities and have no problem with mites, just treat every animal as if it could and you don't have a mite problem, only they animals I got from you needed to be warmed up immediately so I couldn't treat them until the day after I got them and by then I found the evidence in the water bowls and on the paper, thank good for Black Knight and Provent-a-mite.

Your attitude on the whole matter has been, so what I'm the only one that matters and I can always find more suckers to buy by stuff. This is business and anyone with any business experience knows that one unsatisfied customer will make more noise than 100 happy ones. That's why you want to make every customer happy. I know I sure do, even if it sometimes costs me money, they will be back if they're happy.

Just the facts, everything else here I find rather childish. I use this board for what it is supposed to be used for and I thank the owner for that.

I may get my head ripped off for this post, but I think I should add something.
I have known Shawn for a while now (personally) and, yes he has a temper and a very bad potty mouth.  But I haven't found anyone else who will sit an hour on the phone going over and over what to do with an unexpected clutch of eggs. Then offer to come by and make sure I didn't screw up. I have also done a trade with him, that went through perfectly. I traded a 2ft Rhino Viper for a 10ft Rock Python. I have never shipped with him as we live only an hour and a half away.

I am sorry that you feel that you are going to get jumped on for posting your opinion and the facts that you know.  I am sorry that this site has gotten that sort of a reputation.

I plan to end that reputation.  Everyone is entitled to their opinions here.  If someone disagrees with your opinion, that is fine, but I will no longer tolerate the bickering and flames that tend to kick up about these differences of opinions.

Shawn is welcomed to post what he wants as long as he controls his 'potty mouth', as you called it.  Anyone being on this site for any length of time certainly realizes that talking that way only loses you points and does nothing good for your reputation.

I told you when you asked if your posts would be acceptable that you would have no problems... you give yourself too little credit for your experience and knowledge.

People here are gauged on their individual merit, people are judging Shawn because of the manner he has  chosen to conduct himself. There was one bad shipment that was brought forth and he made a descision about how to respond to it. Nobody should have a problem with your post in the least; it was honest, inoffensive and well worded.

People really wouldn't have much of a problem with Shawn either if he had decided to act in a different manner. There's a certain appropriate manner of conduct for any given situation or forum and there is another which will cause negative results... Your response shouldn't cause any problems in the least.

Hey now... I personally have a certain respect for creative profanity. Either original use of more than just three terms or perhaps a certain minimal use for emphasis of a concept... Just not the way he's been doing it. I submit the use of certain vulgarity in Monty Python's "Dead Parrot" sketch as evidence that proper use in an appropriate forum with a bit of creativity and timing isn't such a bad thing when you know your audience... The BOI just isn't the place to act that way.
