    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ok, I picked up a super reduced pattern normal in 2008. This was right before I started to get into morphs. She was always a slow grower. Would only eat once or twice in a four to five month period. I thought I tried everything. A month ago I got a new rack setup and placed her in it. Shortly after that she has been a PIG!! Don't know if it was the rack or the time of year but she finally broke the 1000 gram mark at 3.5 years old and is eating GREAT!!! She is 1118 grams full.

Quick question ... If she keeps it up would you breed her this season? What weight would you feel safe to introduce a male?

Don't listen to me because I have never breed before, but I would guess keep feeding often and hope she will takes and builds up even if its late in the season. Should post a pic.

if she continues to feed aggressively, keep offering plenty of food. twice a week if she'll take the food. She might make it late this season. At almost 4 yrs old, she definitely has the age under her belt. good luck!

If she keeps eating, I would say give it a shot. I bought 2 2007 pastels last fall and they were only 900g when I got them. One of them bred for me late in the season, so its possible:).

Only my opinion but if she hit 1500g at any point full your good being she has the age 1300-1400 empty would most likely be ok. I would just wait to start introductions of males or she might freeze up and not feed.

I had a female ghost last year that scared me to death because she was pounding food and at 1500g (full) and 2 1/2 years old I started putting a male with her. Well she stopped feeding within a couple of weeks and I stopped introductions a couple weeks later to try to get her to feed again but nope. Then when she laid this spring she was only around 1257g and just over 800 post lay weight talk about nervous. She made out fine and is up to almost 1700 now but I was a wreck.

I have a het pied female that is on pace to do the same thing but she's not going to see a male until she is over 1600 for my peace of mind.

Just my opinion you have the animals and can make a better decision for you and the animal by knowing what she is doing and how she is reacting to everything.

Thanks. Will keep feeding her if she keeps eating and see what happens. It would be good if she goes because my older girl is just not feeling right since the last clutch and I'm giving her a year off.
