    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

We have a beardie who I think may be in shed too long. It has been over a week and he has only broke the skin on one leg. It seems very thick... Is that normal? Dozer is a big fella, he is over 16 in long and 337g as of yesterday. He is staying as close to his UV light as he can. I took him out in the sun for about twenty mins today and he got a good bath. Anything I need to watch for?

If you are worried about him having a retained shed, you can soak him. Just place him in warm water for about 10-15 min for the next few days. It will ensure that he is properly hydrated and should soften the external layer of skin.

But a week to start breaking some skin is not abnormal in my experience. I have a particular female that sheds her whole back in one sheet but takes about 2 weeks to do so. Sheds also occur less frequently and can take longer in mature dragons. So I, personally, would not be worried about him too much. Just watch his appendages to ensure that there is no constriction due to a retained piece of shed skin.
