    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

my african rock python is'nt shedding right now and you can tell he needs too. i've soaked him in shed ease and still nothing could it be too much heat or light? i appreciate any help

Ok

are you selling this Python or are you looking for advice ?? if your looking for the advice you might want to post in the Python forum, located here Python Discussion Forum but seeing as I'm already here you might want to raise your humidity in your cage some what.

Don't know how I missed this one, lol. You say that you can tell he needs to shed...that can mean alot of things, ranging from he is opaque to he is badly dehydrated and has retained at least one shed. How you proceed will depend on where in the shedding process the snake is. If his overall appearance is cloudy, you've got about a week; if the cloudiness has cleared, 1-4 days (approximate, of course)...don't worry in either case, just soak him a bit or increase cage humidity. If he has obviously retained shed(s), start with a good long soak...and I mean loooooong. That shouldn't be a problem because Afrocks love to soak. put a suitable container with some water (can't recommend water depth or container size without knowing the size of the snake) in its enclosure and pop him in - best results with a lidded container. There are all sorts of things to try, but it may come down to manually removing the skin. The more info you can provide, the more specific and pointed our replies can be

i soaked him last night in shed ease and raised the humidty and it worked fantasticly. as soon as he came out of soaking he basically shed in my hands. thanks for all the help
