WOW, thats about all i can say. I read this thread in its entirity and it sickens me to think that someone would do that to a poor uro. Im 15 and i cant see anyone but an adult with a serious mental defect putting an innocent uro through hell. For the mostpart in thrilled to hear its doing better and you really should be a herp vet. Down here there are definately not enough to go around especially seeing as the majority of people here have a herp due to the excellent climate. Thanks for caring for it and good luck bringing sheila down.

Another update on Sheila. Just when I thought she had finally gone away and decided it was in her best interested to leave me alone, I get this e-mail (edited for foul languange of coarse):

"You are the one harassing me you FAT B*TCH! I have already copied
everything you have said about me, making false accusations about me,
slandering my name, and lying about me. It's against the law to do
what
you have done. You can only go so far lady, and people will get back at
you. You have messed with the wrong person. Now you will pay.
Believe me, you will get back what you sow. You say one more word about
me, or to me, and you will wish you hadn't! This isn't
over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"​

and then this LOVELY e-mail too:

"I know where you live at. Watch your back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"​

Isn't it just wonderful when someone doesn't even know the legal terminology for written defamation is lible, not slander? How many times have we all seen threats like this on this board? If I had a dime for everytime someone screamed "slander" I'd be rich.

However, her threats of "watch your back" and "I know where you live" have not been well received here. It takes a real genius to say things like that.


FYI, Riley the Uro is still doing great, improving every day.

Me smells yet another criminal act. I wonder what she's actually going to be charged with first: making threats or animal cruelty? Should we start placing bets?

Can someone as disturbed as this actually function normally on a day to day basis? Is it possible that she's really a dental hygienist somewhere?

Wow is a bit of an understatement. All I kept thinking while following this thread was "lovely, we do not need more lunatics like this representing our hobby." The bubble wrap takes the cake. Aprylla I am so happy you received him alive. Did you say it did not look like "yellow fungus" to you? I ask because ironically I have some Uromastyx acanthinurus that I kept in FLORIDA some years back that developed the same type blistering for lack of a better term, as they were not fluid filled. At the time the vet I used did not know what it was either. Ken actually helped more than the vet. He thought it might be a humidity issue and it might be viral. The treatment Ken suggested seemed to work and since I moved to Las Vegas four years ago they have not had another outbreak. This gives me pause to think it might have something to do with humidity. I asked another well known competent herp veterinarian in CA if he had any cases like this but since they are symptom less it didn't help and he had not. I am still meticulous they do not come in contact with my ornates (just in case). They are going on 6 years old now and thriving. Please let us know (or me via email) what your vet says and the results if he does a culture. Best of luck to you.

***To All Reptibid Users, Re: Sheila***

After doing a little investigating last night, I discovered the possibility of Shila having multiple user names on Reptibid. Sure enough, she also uses the user name of: Frosty112. I reported this to the webmaster because I knew he could check the IP Address and stuff and see if it was the same.

Sure enough, it is the same IP address, physical address and contact info. Not only that, but her 2 auctions that remain on there until they end (she is otherwise banned) have the high bidder of, you guessed it, Frosty 112.

I believe the Webmaster said this user ID of hers will also be suspended from the site, but just thought I would warn anyone that may get this UserID as a bidder on thier auctions before he suspends this one too. You may want to add this one to your "blocked" list too, for added protection.

I hope she didn't think she was actually going to get away with having multiple User IDs and bidding up her own auctions. BUSTED! (AGAIN!).

That path has already been traveled, and it appears that Sheila is, indeed, an adult. At least chronologically. Mentally and emotionally, the jury is still out.

I have to say that I've sold several animals to Sheila.
She has been very reasonable and has complimented me often on our service.
I won't pretend to know the details of the original complaint but I must say I am a little ashamed of some of you for your treatment of her.

This is a place to post how we feel our transactions have gone.
Why has she been abused for her opinion?
You are certainly free to disagree with anything she might have said but the letters of profanity she has gotten along with the attacks on her maturity or emotional health are, in my opinion, way out of line.

I've been lucky and have not had any of my buyers rant against me and I would be grateful if those of you who know me stuck up for me if they did. As I would for you.
I hope, however, that none of my friends ever defend me by such hostile means.
I hope that these mean postings are not really what this BOI is about.
If it is then consider me deeply ashamed for my fellow tradesmen.

I guess I have now opened myself to your abuse.
I hope, however, some of you will think about what you are doing for just a moment.

Gino, nobody is going to attack you for reasonable behaviour. Have you read this entire thread? She has gone on stalking foul-mouthed email attacks without provocation and shipped an animal in simply apalling health in one of the most destined-to-kill-the-animal methods imaginable. Nobody (well mostly nobody) here has treated her in any way that she hasn't brought onto herself.

If you haven't read the entire thread... do so now before you consider the treatment of her to be off-base.

Many people here believe that she is truly mentally ill and many have therefore pulled their punches! She needs help and to get out of the animal business

I fully understand there might be some people who are justified in how they feel about her.
I admit to not knowing the original details.
I'm not speaking to the transactions themselves.
I know I had several good transactions with her. She's bought a few animals from me and has gone out of her way to express how grateful she was for the service she was given.
I fully understand others might have had bad transactions with her.
I am merely saying If she did do these things aren't we stooping to the same level we complain against by some of these harsh posts?
II guess I just think some people were just being mean for the sake of being mean.
I guess she had a problem with Ben and I consider Ben a friend and would gladly defend his business tactics I just hope I could do that and still remain civil.
Hope that explains better.
I hope I have a reputation for fairness.
I know I probably should have stayed out of it. (Usually I do) I just don't like to see things so abusive.

I'm not sure if you're talking about this thread or the one Sheila started about Ben Siegel. In this thread, she began sending vulgar and threatening emails to Aprylla when she posted about her dissatisfaction with the way the Uro deal was handled.

In the thread Sheila herself started about Ben, I was extremely respectful in my replies to her, and even attempted to empathize with her sensitivity to Ben's responses by pointing out that she was fairly new in the herp world. She replied by sending me hateful emails and lying about non-existent business transactions between us.

In synopsis, I'm uncertain whether you've read both of those threads. If not, you should. If you have, please explain how Sheila's behavior was not the force behind the unpleasantness in each of them. I am not attacking you here, I am honestly asking your opinion. You have more knowledge of Sheila than do I, and if you can shed light on how or why this escalation from her occurred, I'd like to know.

I have met her three or four times.
She's bought from me at Expos and has met me to buy snakes recently.
She's not a kid but a young woman (probably mid 20's - 30)
Like I said she's been very nice to me each time.
She was completely sane and rational. She was feeling very hurt by the letters she got.
I'm not saying people should not complain if they want/need to just tone the attacks down.
Even if she has done the same let's lead by example.
It's easy to be kind to those who are kind to us.
The true test to our character is can we be civil to those who abuse us?
I'm more surprised to see it got this far is all.
