Gino, I think you need to read both threads, Ben's and Sheila's and then come back here with your (hopefully informed) opinion. Sheila asked for everything she is getting.

#1: The BOI is not here so people can complain that a seller is "RUDE"! That's what Sheila's first post was about. In her mind Ben was rude to her. Well BIG DEAL!

#2: Then people started stating their satisfaction with Ben and asked Sheila for proof and she went berzerk and posted this masterpiece on page 3 of the Ben thread:

I went back and reread all the posts up until her ridiculus post and not one person was rude at all. The only "cuss" word was in this sentence and it was not cussing her at all.
If your coming on here and slamming someone of bens stature and reputation you better damn well have some kind of proof too back it up

#3:She got what she deserved after her post. She acted like she's an upstanding Christian person who was cursed at, which she wasn't and apparently isn't. She said people slammed her when, in fact, they didn't until she started acting wacko. I suggest you actually read pages 1 and 2 and then let's hear your opinion on the matter.

#4: Page 4 is where people start receiving nasty emails from her with plenty of cursing and rudeness.

I really have to wonder about this woman people have done searches for info on her and I have to say that the person she apears to be in public seems very sane and helpful, yet when you look at her rantings here and on other forums you see someone with some real problems. I don't know if you've read what she has posted here if not take a look at what she has to say and you'll begin to question who this person really is.

Yeah it gets a bit harsh on some of these threads and sure there are things said that maybe shouldn't be. But I have to agree with those who have said that something needs to be done about this woman.

Please at least read this whole post. Then ask yourself if you would still be comfortable selling animals to this person after seeing the condition of the Uro. I for one would not sell to Shelia knowing she took it to the vet but obviously didn't follow the instructions for treatment. When after only a short time it is doing better with Aprylla, I'd say Shelia wasn't providing the needed care for this animal.

I'd also ask Shelia for some proof of the e-mails you stated she claimed to have revceived. I highly doubt there will be any to provide.

The bottom line here is that dealing with Shiela is a risky proposition for the animals involved. This is proven by the condition of the Uro and the two cornsnakes that we received. When questioned about her practices, the vulgar attacks began and continued to the point of harrassment. Maybe there are some people on this thread that should not have been so "mean", but I'm not sure how she could expect anything less given her own actions. This probably would not have been as extensive if she had only admitted her wrong doings. What we all need to do is make sure the animals are protected and, in our opinion, that means not dealing with Sheila.

I have them. They were emailed to me but I have no way to verify that they are the actual emails she has received. Just her statements of them. They quote a few people on this thread along with Sheila's statements. They mostly address the Ben thread.

Since the emails cannot be verifed I do not know if I should post them. She has made it clear she will not come back on the forum. Also I would not want to have to edit the langauge out I would just copy and paste.

I think this would be as close to a response anyone will obtain from her.

I personally think she is crazy and would not deal with her but some of the emails she has recevived if true some of us have been pretty rauncy back.

She claims that her son was upset and wrote most of the emails to everyone.

That would explain a lot about the controversy earlier about Sheila being adult or child.

Any suggestions?

I, of course, cannot vouch for anyone else, but do know that I have not emailed Sheila at all. So far I've either been off her radar... or my spam filters have thrown out any emails she's sent to me.

IF I had received one of the nasty-grams she (or her son?) have sent out, I probably would have posted a suitably edited version here and responded to Sheila publicly via this forum rather than through private email.

I do know that some people take it upon themselves to send out nasty-grams also, I do not think this is necessarily adult, commendable, or "good guy" behaviour in any way whatsoever.

If in fact Sheila has allowed her son to send out those .... how do I put it...? ... ALARMING emails, then I believe that she adds another "crime" to her growing list: she allows, even encourages her child to commit behaviour that is in actual fact criminal!

Please remember that while some people will always be harsh and abrasive, you yourself will not feel the true fallout from Sheila's behaviour by speaking for her. You have valuable information that can shed a great deal of information/light on this issue and help those of us here at Fauna to understand what the real picture is. Since it's a virtual world, it's hard to figure out fact from fiction, especially because so many bad guys have chosen to wreath themselves in fiction.

The facts in this case, as I see them, are:

Sheila over-reacted to an interaction with Ben Seigel and posted a bad-guy thread about him.

Sheila sent nasty-grams to many people without them having sent anything to her first.

Sheila has shipped at least three animals in SUB-SUB-SUB-Par conditions and only fate has allowed them to arrive "alive" but has required all three to have extensive medical treatment to try to save their lives.

Sheila has more than one user ID at Reptibid and was bidding on her own auctions.

Sheila has encouraged her son (not sure if this is true) to engage in criminal behaviour on her behalf.

It would be nice if we could get a sane rational response to these "charges" as presented. Frequently "bad guy" threads like this one tend to have rampant discussion about the individual in question when the individual will not answer the "charges" and explain their behaviour.

Sadly this one will probably never be answered rationally as there has been no demonstration of rational behaviour on Sheila's part. I only hope that no more animals are suffering in little bubble-wrapped containers, traveling UPS ground, to destinations unknown.

FOR THE RECORD:

I have never used ONE curse word, profanity or any sort of foul word in ANY of my e-mails to Sheila, ever. I can post all of the e-mails I have sent to her here, or forward all of them to anyone who would like to read them to see how I have personally dealt with her.

The only e-mail I have ever sent her which was on ANY way "deragatory" was one where I old her that if she did not stop sending me e-mails, I was going to pursue having her arrested for harassment (that e-mail was sent Saturday 01/08/05) AFTER receiving an e-mail in which the THREATENED ME by saying "I know where you live at. Watch your back!". Here was my response:

"CEASE CONTACTING ME IMMEDIATELY OR I WILL HAVE NO

There were no foul words or threats contained therein. I sent her that e-mail where I told her to stop contacting me, since there is absolutely no reason why we should have any contact with one another. She responded SEVERAL times with foul and vulgar e-mails. I have absolutely NO plans to ever respond to anything she sends me again.

After I sent that last e-mail to her, she reasponded FOUR times, the last one being last night (Sunday, 1/9) her is her (edited for languange) response:

There is NO reason for her to be contacting me at all, for any reason. She has been warned 3 times in the samemanner to stop contacting me and she persists in randomly e-mailing me these crazy vulgar things.

I have not "asbused" this woman, and like I said, I have never threatened her with abuse nor sent one e-mail with a foul word. That is not how I conduct myself or my transactions, even if they do go BADLY wrong.

I can't speak for anyone else on here because I haven't seen their e-mails to her, so I can't possibly know what anyone else said to her.

FYI, Riley the Uro is doing much better. All of the "bumps" have come off through soaking and application of many medications. I also had begun giving him "AcidolpiLiz" (sp?) which is an additive to increase and helps re-establish the natural flora in the body. The human equivilent (Acidophilous) is a supplement that humans should take when they take antibiotics in order to keep the "good" bacteria in our stomachs form being overtaken by the "bad" bacteria". This happens a lot when we take antibiotics and/or eat an unbalanced diet with includes a lot of "yeasty" products such as bread and pastries. Anyway, I started giving Riley the AcidolpiLiz product on Thursday. Since that time with being given that, and a proper diet, he seems to have improved a lot. He has even gained 2 grams as of this morning (weighed both times on an empty stomach). I will be taking him to the vet this afternoon anyway. Regardless of if the bumps are gone or not, I still want the herp vet to give him a once over and check for anything else that might be wrong with him. I will update you guys on what the vet says later today.

Please, understand I was not making any justification for such hatred in an E-Mail.
You certainly have a right to be angry.
I was mostly speaking to a few people who were having sport with all of this.
I would be just as outraged if I got letters like that.
I would probably even feel violent if my wife were spoken to in such a way.
Please believe me when I say I'm not defending that kind of behavior.

I just wasn't sure if it was thought that *I* had been sending awful e-mails back to her, and wanted to make it clear that through all of this, I have not replied to her in the way she has conducted herself with me. I have found that responding to vulgarity and harshness with more of the same it not the best course of action, it tends to get you nowhere. I tried in the beginning, middle and even towards the end of this whole mess to resolve it in as friednly a manner as possible. I ended all my e-mails with something to the tune of "still in the hopes of being able to amicably resolve this matter". But I was responded to with the most horrible and vulgar e-mails I have ever had the misfortune of reading.

When I bought the two cornsnake from Sheila, when they arived almost frozen and dead this is how our communication started. I will put all emails from Sheila In bold. This is in response to a Email I got this morning from someone saying I need to stop sending Sheila nasty Emails. I have not sent her one single nasty email. Here is all the emails that we sent to each other. I started to fill sorry for her, I thought she just made a mistake. I even referred her to another breeder who had some snakes she wanted. The only email I sent to her which was harsh is in caps. That email was in response to hers. I used no cuss words nor did I call her names. I left the subject where it was she sent me snaks poorly. She then move to personal attacks. Read the emails and she what you think. I will try to edit all of the cuss words she sent me I hope I don't miss any. Thanks Matt

You used only eight hour heat packs you needed to use 24 -48 hour heat pack as per common practice in this field. You packed them poorly non insulated box . Please refund money. You don't ship HIGH HOT Heat Packs with snakes. Snakes don't like a lot of heat. And you did not ask me to purchase a insulated box for you. And you didn't even ask me to put heat packs in with them. I just did this out of my own judgement. I can't get insulated boxes here in Florida. It;s 85 degrees here. And UPS and FEDEX don't ship live animals, so i couldn't tell them what was in the box or i could have been fined.
No one has insulated boxes. And my store said 8 hours where just fine to use where they were going too.
They don't have 24 hour heat packs here. I am not a reptile store. I am just a person in my home selling my snakes.

How truley pathetic. I hope for everyones sake breeders and dealers BAN this person from purchasing anything. Period. Someone like this does not deserve to own and care for LIVE animals. Nor does she deserve to produce captive specimens and improperly ship them risking demise to people via the internet.

She's certainly on our "banned customers list" thanks to this thread. All those who supply should follow suit.... If she can't obtain them, she certainly cannot sell them.

Also, If I were you people I would forward ALL of that email correspondence to her internet provider. Hopefully they revoke her service as a result.... most providers do not look too kindly on that type of behavior.

Guys.....I think you're not reading Gino's posts correctly.

He is not defending Sheila in any way, he simply posted he had no problems with her in his dealings. He has said that he does not approve of her emails or language.

What he has said is that he thinks that some of the responses in this thread are no better than what Sheila herself is doing. There comes a point when you go over the edge with personal insults and such. We're all adults here and I agree that things have gotten a bit out of hand. Hell, Rich said that many many pages ago.

We can all tell that Sheila (or whomever is sending these emails) has some serious issues, that's obvious. Everyone has seen them, we all know there are problems so there's really no reason to keep acting surprised when new emails surface and continue the bashing.

At this point I'm curious as to how the process is going with the legal issues regarding the harassment and threats. I'd like to be updated as of that and how it progresses.
