• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Shipping Snakes UPS is Illegal

It's important to note that the invoice that accompanies the box cannot be INSIDE the box. They specifically require it be attached to or accompany the shipment in a fashion that is easily accessible.

Just caught with this convo. Looking to ship american alligators 1 at a time..., so now im dealing with threatened species. Does anyone has the info im looking for? it would save me a lot of time. thank you

Well, as it applies to this thread, alligators cannot be shipped via UPS - per UPS policy.
They can, however, be shipped via the USPS, as long as they aren't over 20 inches in length.

At that size, I would think you would be restricted to the airlines, simply due to the packaging requirements of a crocodilian that size. NorthWest Airlines and Delta have been recommended for some time (though I don't know if NorthWest's policies have changed since their purchase by Delta). I did contact Southwest at one point - I'll have to see if I can locate my notes on those discussions. For some reason, I seem to recall them not being a reasonable option; but I don't know if that is related to their policies, the process, or something totally subjective like me getting irritated with somebody on the phone :shrug01:

I'm curious about another issue - will PM you.
