    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone used them yet? I have used FedEx for years, but their prices are going very high, but I am nervous about using another company, especially since i have never had a problem with FedEx. I am wondering about ease of using, on time delivery, safety of animals?

Thank you

Dan

For what it's worth, I believe this is the work of the guys over at Pro Exotics and it took a lot of work to get this accomplished. Doesn't seem to be any kind of fly-by-night scam by any means. I plan on giving it a try when I get back to the States.

I used the service yesterday and the animals were delivered safe and sound at 9:30am today. 16x16x8 box weighing 10lbs for under $30...can't beat it.++++++

I used it last week and I couldn't even believe it could really be so easy. Shipyourreptiles,...where have you been all our lives? Can't wait to use it again next week. Absolutely perfect idea/service.

I didn't know it, but I have been waiting for this service forever.

Print up a nice shipping label at home, drop off your properly packaged animals at the local UPS and you're done. And all of that AT A BIG DISCOUNT.

If there is a God, thank you. Now if you could just help me get my Diamonds to breed......

shipyourreptiles.com = awesome

Awesome service with shipyourreptiles.com and great discounts. Shipped several animals without a hitch. Will continue to use!!

Thanks for the support folks. We are three weeks in, we have shipped over 600 packages, and saved those customers over $10,000 in shipping fees. To say it has been a tremendous rollout would be an understatement, I am super thrilled with the progress. We really appreciate all the support.

UPS is allowing people to ship snakes via Shipyourrepiles.com.
They haven't opened up to individual accounts at this time.

shipping snakes UPS

From what I have read here, many are having good luck, but I also read the other posts and many there are having trouble shipping them. As to, drop them off at another facility and they go "un-noticed" as long as you don't tell them what you are shipping. I thank everyone for the responses, but thinking I will wait till it's perfectly ok to ship live harmless reptiles thru them. I don't want to lie, nor do I want my customers to not get theirs due to returning my shipment. Please, when it is finally "trickled" down and we can without fear, Someone say so here and I will gladly try them. Sounds like when it goes through, everything goes smoothly

The same thing happened with "the other company", and occasionally happens to individuals using FedEx...and they've offered a waiver to ship reptiles/snakes for how long? I agree that it is problematic, but it doesn't appear to be too widespread at this point.
I, too, have a problem with the recommendation to not tell, be overly vague, or mislead when it comes to labeling or identification of the contents. I've done a few quotes for comparison, and the service would saved about $8-10 on any of the shipments I've made since the startup. I'm sure it's worth it to many.....and if my volume increases enough, I may have to reconsider how those savings add up; but for the time being, FedEx is still far more convenient & better suits my needs.
Still, Robyn seems to be on the right track, and I wish SYR the best of luck - it can only serve to benefit us all.

Shipping

I hope they continue to push for the ok to ship them. We NEED a company to help us. I will continue to watch and see. This is a great thing and hope it continues

The "many" people that have issues with drop off you can count with single digits. And some of those are because some insist on going directly to the UPS counter and saying "I am here to ship my snake". That would be the way to guarantee the MOST resistance and scrutiny.

UPS Stores are independent franchises and each owner may choose to accept live shipments (insects, reptiles or otherwise) or not. Most do, as accepting your package for shipment, even though they didn't book it, gets them a fee from UPS. But when the hobbyist raises the caution flag themselves, by declaring loud and clear they are here to ship reptiles, phobias kick in, and resistance is generated.

You can drop your package off at a grocery store that has a daily pickup and delivery, a Veterinary office that has a daily pickup and delivery, a bike shop with a pickup and delivery, there are literally thousands of entry points.

Those having an issue with drop off are a percentile of a single percentile, it isn't a "some succeed, some fail" issue at all. P2P shippers are seeing crazy success!

Tuesday then

I have a shipment going out Tuesday, Maybe I'll give it a try. I can go the other way to send out of a UPS store, there is one about 6 miles from me. I hope they don't ask though, I still prefer not to lie.

I am going to be using SYR for the second time this coming Monday. I have received a few crested geckos lately where the packages were marked LIVE HARMLESS LIZARDS. AVOID DRASTIC TEMPS. They were also shipped through UPS. One for sure I know used SYR to ship a box. Is this advisable even with lizards to post on the box??? I know in the past that has been frowned upon. Due to theft,fear,ect...
