In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Show off your Black Backs!

Thanks everyone. Since I got your attention... I'll show you some more blackback types...

My fiancé calls this the "who dat?" ball because he's just like the New Orleans Saints colors. I think this one will be in my breeding plans.

Another female like the male, but more orange.

Wow, we got some awesome pics up here! I LOVE Brants male, and that 'normal' and butter look freaking great as well!

And Brant, I want second dibs on that male after Travis :D lol

Here's the black back lesser that I produced a couple years ago. Just got 10 eggs from breeding him back to mom so I should be able to find out if there's anything genetic going on...

Actually almost looks like a fire calico there... Need post shed pics but pretty cool regardless Jason. What was the pairing? And if it's a fire calico YB you can just send me the invoice.

what makes a 'black back'? Is it a morph? Is it the darkness of the markings on the back? (I see some posted that have blushing which is why I ask)

what is the defining characteristic?
so many of these differences are so subtle and I'm trying to see what is in common in all of these snakes pictured
thanks for taking the time to respond

The thickened back striping usually is the characteristic of black backing (nice thick stripe with few if not NO breaks)

reduced patterns tend to play a part as well, but not always

blushing is not needed, but always nice of course.

This girl is a dinker, hoping shes a genetic reduced, but seems to have some black backing going on

this girl did move in with Bradley Moore, but since I don't have good pics of her daddy, I'll post the pic I have from when I still had her lol.

First one is our sable male. His mom was a black back, so hopefully he is genetic!

The second is our savannah female from Josh Luna and Justin Orbach. Josh's line of cinnamons are all genetic black back. So this girl definitely is!

Last is our two normal black back females. Haven't proved out yet so we'll see.
