Alicia, while I don't think that's quite what he meant (though I cannot be sure from the little snippet of a post you quoted), I've found this to be a pretty common thing....people who are very intelligent, i.e. "book smart", but are completely lacking in common sense, i.e. "street smarts" or just plain real world skills. In other words....they could probably do very well on a MENSA test, but when it comes to dealing with the average person and average relationships on a day-to-day basis, they bumble like an idiot.

Thats a good point Cat. Im really just giving it back to him. If he can dish it out. he can certainly take it... it was a little uncalled for though...

Ive seen LOTS of people like that and it really makes you wonder... How the heck do you make it across TOWN safely!? Though i could also understand those that just dont have really good skills at dealing with people in real life. which is a true problem and not something i would ever condemn somone for. ( i personally have had this problem for awhile.... im a bit on the hard edged side of things.. so its hard to get people to understand and take me well) I really have to feel comfortable in a situation to be able to be myself. ^_-

It wasn't really meant for anyone in particular. It's just that I see some serious complaining about this thread and the serious complainers are just contributing to that which they are seriously complaining about, which strikes me as both somewhat uninformed and rather amusing.

There is almost always more than one way to look at a given situation, which some of the serious complainers seem to have either overlooked or never been made aware of at all.

Just because YOU, not anyone in particular, see things in one certain way, does it in any way obligate or necessitate anyone else seeing it the same way and if they do not see it as you, the serious complainer does, it does not necessarily negate either your view or theirs.

Try the macroscopic setting instead of the microscopic one, it's refreshing.

As I explained in an earlier post regarding Bob's accusation, please take a moment to read it again, if perhaps not for the first time. Look again at the "wisdom" of your posts. Bob makes an accusation. You are telling me "I should be denying it and showing any proof I can". Prove a negative ? Because Bob pointed his finger ? My "word" is not part of Bob's proof. Sorry Alicia, but not only can a negative not be "proven", but the burden of proof lies with the accuser. You say "if my denial is true" ? Alicia, why is the burden not on the accuser's "proof" ? Frankly, I'm going to call Bob a chicken until he backs up his accusation. How do you intend to apologize Alicia, if it comes to that ?

I said that I was going to have fun with Bob's accusation. If nothing else, it was to see "how many idiots jumped on Bob's bandwagon". We are at three now, although Wes did backpedal a bit. Next.

actually, he first asked you if you were... then you said some long ranty thing which i dont remember now, and he then posted a reply to that since you didnt want to answer a question outright, that he then accused you on it. Since you needed specifics and such...

If i have to apologize, you will see it when it happens. But i most certainly Will apologize to you, right here in this very forum. Theres nothing WRONG with that, and im not afraid of it! if im wrong, im wrong! I wont explain that to you as it would kind of defeat the purpose of a Full meant apology now wouldnt it? At this point, I think I have milked it for all that I can, trying to goad Bob and others. Bob as tucked tale and run. Here's my sworn statement, although if I would hide behind a cloak, how could my word mean squat anyway ? I am not the Shrill. Never was. No real clue who is. Just a hunch or two. Wish I had the internet and computer acumen that Rich claimed was necessary earlier in the thread when he posted the IP data. Rhetorically asking, how does my denial change anything ? As I alluded to, my word is only as good as my honor, and for any regular poster to be Shrill, they have tossed their honor in the interim.

Call it entertainment, stupidity, serious debate, etc, I have to agree with Wes that the discussion here ain't Shrill. It was folks pissed with Wes, stated every way possible. It was his supporters vs. his detractors, and other related opinions about things here. What is clear is that Shrill knows things very well here, and writes well. To that extent I enjoyed the accusation. Even Bob's posts aren't about Shrill. They are about someone having diminished honor, and I guess he wanted it to be me.

Now that the BS identity scramble has lost a suspect, hopefully we can resume things in a little more civil manner.

It's amusing to be sure and some of you are forgetting, or so it seem to me, that this is all utter nonsense, of no real meaning OTHER than this: when one is confronted with a direct question, necessitating a yes or no answer, if you are one whose word is not taken as true, chumpco, then EVERYTHING you say comes into question, is not automatically given the credence, the weight, the bearing of those who, while perhaps seen as unpleasant or over the top on occasion, are NOT doubted when they make a statement.
