    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Twins pipping! They hatched out New Years Eve!

These are Siamese Twins. They are attatched at the chest and they are 14 days old today and still doing good. Have all their own body parts and doing their own thing independently.

Here they are being fed. They have to be hand fed but are eating jackie’s gruel as well as small crickets.



I know we may catch some flak here but we have decided to try and keep them alive. And as I said they are 2 weeks old today and doing good. They weighed 3 grams at hatching the same as one of their siblings. Not gaining a lot of weight but eating and pooping and gaining weight. More photos to come later.
 
Wow. Bojack (a breeder on the KS forum) had twins last year, but they were seperate. They unded up living about three weeks, I think. Good luck with them. That is really something.
 
I remember Bill Moss posted the 2-headed dragon, who didn't survive :( I had followed up on that to him with an email a few months after his initial posting.
 
Good to hear you are handfeeding them and giving them a chance. The do look so precious. Have you thought about any plans for the future like seeing if they can be separated.

Hard maybe as reptiles do stress so easily, but one of ours went through a surgery young and bounced back so well, doubling weigh in 3 weeks, tripling it in 6 weeks.

The appear joined at the tummy, do you know if they share any internal organs?

There is a Vet in MO that has done extensive research and studies on bearded dragons, if your ever interested or would like to talk to him I will be gald to give you his name and contact, thats not saying you may not have one locally you deal with, but in case you needed.

Nope, not at this time.

Don't think so. They are joined by a strip just under the neck to their belly buttons, much like a zipper. They do their own thing, breath, eat and poop. They each ate 4 crickets plus some of Jackie’s gruel for Jackie last night.

Dan is whom you speak of I'm sure and he is our vet and Jackie has talked to him about the twins a few times already.

I think it is great having a bearded dragon forum here but not sure I like all the divisions. I would not have posted this original post under Photo Gallery. I have lots of better bearded dragon photos that could be posted here. I think I would have posted this under "Breeding/Reproductive Care" if the divisions had been here when I made my original post. JMHO
 
I think this would have gone better under "Cultivars(Morphs)/Genteic Issues."

I don't know about posting under another area, I think this was most appropriate here. Many new people entering the industry don't think about the possible extra care that a breeding my make. This is good as it makes us all realize the possible long term needs of some that may not fall in the classification of perfect.

Your living up to that committment, but I bet you could write pages of the extra time just these two take, and possible medical expenses. Plus the babies who's limbs don't develop or the poor starter, its a lot of work, time and costs. Posting it here gives people a perspective they may not have thought off for later down the road.

Yes, it was Dan I was talking about, sounds like they could not be in better hands.
 
AUGH!! ignore that last post about being good in this area, I linked to this post directly from my email, and didn't notice that it was in a new subsection of a new catagory board! I still thought it was in the old lizard board
