In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

SIM Incubation question?

From what I've seen, it's a container that goes into the incubator. It has a grid that is suspended that the eggs go on, and water goes into the bottom of the container. I think it's a good idea because you still have the constant humidity, but I'm not sure if it would get too humid having straight water in there, or if the eggs might get too dried out.

I bought one back in November on Pangea for my crestie eggs, but haven't tried it yet.

You're supposed to use some kind of hatchling medium in the lower part-vermiculite, perlite, Super Hatch, etc.

Looks like it'll do the trick better than submerging the eggs in the hatching medium, though.

I lost a LOT of eggs last year to bad vermiculite and Super Hatch that dried out, so I can't wait to try the SIM out this spring!!!

I have heard nothing but good remarks about it, faster incubating times, better hatch rates, and all kinds of species have been tested with these containers. From what I heard they are making ball/blood python SIMS next. The inventors are Greg Madded, and John anthony, they are on this site, and im sure they would mind answering a few ?'s.

It sounds like a good Idea I still use a Aquarium wrapped in carpet setting on a thick cotton blanket filled half way up with a submersible heater to give heat.I have the top sealed with styrofoam in side of a reptile screen lid,now I know this sounds cheesy and cheap but I t works becuase you set your container of eggs directly floating on the water.I have went up in qaulity of the eggs and have had dents actually disapear over time in this cheesy little Incubator, but I never have to add anymore moisture to my media that holds my eggs inside of the plastic shoe box with vents up high on the sides of egg container.
