• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

    Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
    Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
    Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

    On July 1, 2027, all paid memberships will be closed.

    On August 1, 2027, FaunaClassifieds will be terminated.

    Only change I expect that might take place is when I can get around to figuring out when the amount of money I would have to refund for the yearly paid memberships becomes less than the monthly expense of leasing my server, THAT date might be the termination date for the site.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Since this whole MKR thing started, has anyone else spent more time here than usual?

How has The MKR issue affected the amount of time that you spend here?

About the same. Actually maybe even a bit less time spent here now than when I was a forum mod.

MKR's whole business motto had me avoiding them before I ever joined this forum. Quantity producers who set out to undercut the market at every turn will (if they last) sacrifice quality at some point. While I may get my shoes at Payless since I'm going to trash them in a year, I certainly won't settle for anything but the best in my Python stock.

I'm here off and on...I admin 3 forums and am a member of 4 others, so my time is divided based on which ones are busier at any given point.
 
...I'm sure MKR is enjoying all this free advertising... It's like Pontiac letting Oprah give away all them cars. Got a hell of a lot more advertising out of it that if they would have sold the cars and put the money towards advertising....
