    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Last year I paired up my het albinos. I only got one good egg and managed to get a albino out of the deal. I was very happy, a 25% shot and I got it :D That got me wondering. What is the largest clutch from a het/het pair that someone got skunked on? I never even considered that I would hit it with those odds. So you can imagine how happy I was.

So has anyone had very high hopes and been let down? I'm sure that there are those out there, so I thought I would ask.

8-9 eggs from Morph x Proven het! I'm still LMAO!!:rofl:
 
Last year I got 5 eggs from a 18 month old het albino female bred to a het albino male. Lets just say I was a little happy to get 2:2 albinos....... And I was even happier when they all started on F/T with no problems. : ?party:
 
The breeder I got my female from said it took him 3 years of clutches from his original het albino pair before he finally got 1 albino. :eek:

You read that wrong. He was saying that someone he knows (ME) got 8 eggs (I can only assume he couldn't remember if it was 8 or 9) and got 0 morphs from a Hypo male to a proven Het Hypo female. Which is why he is still laughing (at me)... :)

2 years in a row~ "het bell line hypo male" from reliable breeder (the Bells!) to proven "Het Bell line hypo" female also from a reliable seller.......15 babies~ NO Hypos

I have NEVER had a possible het prove out to be a het. I have only ONCE even after all the gobs of money and time I've put into this had any of the 100% hets prove.......and she proved when I sent her off on breeding loan to SOMEONE ELSE

Thanks for setting me straight on that Sam. 0 for 8 is not at all how I read that. I didn't intend to rub salt with my luck on the albinos. I talked with a breader who said he couldn't remember ever getting skunked. So thought I would ask.

BTW, John, that is just wrong to come here and, how did you put it? LMAO about Sam's misfortune (tongue-in-cheek).

Of course I understand that that is part of the hobby/business. Just looking for info to use in the future.

The best part is that the Het girl belongs to John and was here on a breeding loan, so really he was half laughing at himself. It is a proven fact though that I have the worst luck when it comes to hitting the odds on breeding Hets, and my luck isn't that much better with C0-doms! :rofl:
 
WOW, maybe I should be careful about doing any breeding trades with you :D (kidding). IF the chance comes up I would most certainly consider it.

I had a hetxhet pairing with 5 eggs, no pieds. Next year, same het female to visual pied male. 5 eggs again, no pieds. These were TSE hets, do you think that could be a factor? :shrug01:

From proven het-to het in '07- 9 possie hets & last year Co-dom to normal- 9 normals. :eek:

Sam, I hope I am not going to have your luck with the female I got from you (lol)!
She is being bred to a Paul Miles produced 100% albino het that I got from Ben Seigel.
I can only hope that 'Lilly luck' doesn't rear its ugly head.

06...nada, zip, nothing
07...7 eggs, all normals!
08... nada, zip, nothing
09... witnessed locks, crossing my fingers, if they make normals again, I'm tempted to make snakeskin boots outta them.

And for the people that have been around awhile, I'm sure you remember what het caramels were selling for way back in 06. If not, they weren't cheap. lol
