Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Do all dragons, no matter the age, slow down during winter time? Our dragons range from 4 -11 months and they are all acting "sleepy". We understand brumation and what to do during that time, but we thought it would only happen to the mature dragons and not the juveniles. Thanks for the advice!
 
My dragons were born in March and April and started sleeping a lot also so I asked a breeder and she said that even younger dragons go through somewhat of a winter shut down due to the weather change.
 
I hate winter... anyway, I noticed brumation was mentioned... are they slowing down without brumation? I've heard that brumation is not even neccissary for beardies, was I misinformed? I have no idea, so I thought I'd ask since its halfway on topic here and one of my dragons is sluggish.
 
Brumation is not totally necessary for them. Although, you will get best results with a cooling period. Without one, however, they will still breed.
 
I would just like to know how long it lasts. My dragons barely eat and some days they don't at all so how do you get their calcium and vitamins in them. I give them their bath and they sun bath them back to sleep. I am a worry wart so any time they act different I panic.
 
Valentines day, that long? What about their food and vitamins? How much weight loss is OK? Waking them up to bathe is OK right?
 
We know that babies grow like weeds for the first 6 months or so, so if some of our younger ones start slowing down and hiding more, will this stunt their growth at all? We want them to be big and healthy!
