    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Slowly winning the war...

Eric (my husband) has always been OK with herps, so long as he doesn't have to take care of them. When I got into Leos, he thought I was crazy. He couldn't see what I could possibly like about a little lizzard that spends all day sleeping.

A year later, and he's doing baby-talk to the geckos when he walks in the room - and even handles them from time to time!

I'm slooowly wearing him down!! He still keeps telling me I have enough geckos, but then agrees that the latest edition is awfully cute!

Sorry for the fuzzy pics (dim lighting) - but here is proof! Here he is handling Ozzy (the not-so-terrible). He looked at him and said "You're not so tough!" and stuck his hand out to take him! We still have all fingers to date...LOL.

I personally met that gecko at Kirsty's. He was terrible. Tried to eat me. But I would have taken him in a heartbeat if you hadn't! :hehe:

He is a beautiful boy. All he needed was some of that grown-man-baby-talk. :beer:

I love the first picture with ozzy licking his nose. It's like hes saying "Ew he touched me!" and sticking his tongue out ;)

Thought the geckos were on the winning side in taking over the house ! LOL

Cool story ! And dang is that a big boy ! Ozzy i mean :hehe:

They have very successfully taken over my art room, and a small part of the living room. That leaves the kitchen, diningroom, bedroom, and computer room (bathrooms are too humid!). ROFL!

My husband (also named Eric) is also "OK" about herps but not a big fan -- unlike my 7 yr old son, Henry, who is obsessed. The other day when I was feeding the geckos, Henry took out his Dumpy Tree Frog to say hi and the frog suddenly leapt several feet and stuck to the side of my face! I calmly peeled him off, handed him back to Henry, and continued feeding superworms to the gex. My husband turned to Henry and said (with great awe) "You have no idea how lucky you are to have a mom like that!!!" :cool:

LOL...I had White's Tree Frogs about 5 years ago, and I recall one of them doing something just like that! Those are funny little guys - well, maybe not little, my guys were FAT!
