    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My female brb surprised me with babies yesterday. There were 8 healthy babies, one stillborn and several slugs, two of which she promptly ate. There are at least 2 slugs still in her that I can feel. Tried to "work" them out with manual palpation, but no luck. She gets upset and bites me. Not sure what, if anything, to do about it.

If she's getting upset and biting when you try to work out the slugs then you might be hurting her. I'd get her to a vet to see what is going on.

Yeah the vet is going to be my best suggestion as well. I've heard they can give an injection that will cause contractions to start again which may enable her to pass them on her own. Otherwise they may be able to manipulate them out or possibly even draw the fluids out of the slugs to enable her to pass them. I have heard of boas (BCi) that held onto slugs and the owner didn't know, they ended up passing them the next year with the litter (they were smaller, dried up compared to the 'regular' slugs) but I don't think I'd chance it.

I lost a boa that was slug bound, the slug was too large for her to pass which we didn't find out until the xrays (I posted about it here: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=176477)
Sounds like your situation is different as mine died because she still had live babies inside her that passed and caused everything to go septic but still, better to get it checked out sooner rather than later.

Good luck I hope everything turns out okay!
