In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Every feeding. I take rats from the freezer, put them in the sink with water to thaw them out, walk into the living room and WHAM. Got critters hitting the glass. In just those two minutes, every snake in the house knows it's feeding time.

Miraculous sense of smell. It amazes me every time. Even the ones in the Boaphiles, with their lousy ventilation (I plan to remedy that BTW), know it's coming.

Nothing like a healthy feed response.

Thanks for looking!

OMG That's so funny, mine start thumping against their racks. I start feeding and then the thumping starts, it gets kinda scary when the fly outta the tubs at me.

Great pix as always Rick!

Thanks for the nice replies! Yeah, they're funny. Granted, this was their long week off feed, so they were hungry, but I'd get the same reaction if I fed them every week.
The two sunglow girls that are all at the door of the cage, don't like waiting. I open the door, they come and meet the rat half way. I always have to put them inside after they nab it. It's pretty comical.

Thanks again for the comps!

LOL sounds like my house too :) The bullsnakes hiss and rattle till they get food! Balls just start cruising, and the boas wait for whatever moves when that tub/cage is opened!!! Such amusing critter we keep! And its kinda cool to see JUST how sensitive that sense of smell really is!!!!

Great pics and I also know exactly what you mean... you can see all the little lightbulbs go off in their heads when they smell rat. "red alert!":D

My few in boaphiles always have their toungue right up at that gap around the door just smelling and waiting.

The synchronised feeding award goes to Richard!!!!!!!

Now if I could just grow like, IDK, 15 more arms....then we could really get synchronized. :D

Thanks for the comps everyone. I've had lots of critters, but none have ever amused me, or captured my heart more then Boa Constrictor. Neat critters for sure.

Thanks again!
