    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So have purchased my first bp, I haven't brought him home yet but I see him often. His current home isn't great, bad humidity, no hide, and doesn't get touched anymore except when I'm there. N e ways, every time I see him he's curled up in a tight ball in the corner. Take him out then a few weeks later there he is again same spot. So I was wondering if snakes can get depressed? He used to be held everyday until he bit someone so they put him 4 sale & ignored him. He's about 1ft long so he's young. My set-up has places to hide, climb, & soak. So is this behavior due to his current home? Will he be happier or is there something wrong w/ him?

Perhaps stressed would be a better word than depressed. He's in a not so nice environment and gets little to no attention so he may be hungry and thirsty too.

Hurry up and take this baby home with you so he can be treated like he deserves! :D

Or maybe even bored. If you put him into a better environment with much better stimulus, he may be more active. On the other hand, he may still sit in a ball in the hide. Sometimes they do that.

Thank you

Thank you very much. He will be very happy in his new home. He'll have plenty of entertainment, a great hide, plenty of humidity, and lots of attention.

He may go through an adustment period when you get him in his new environment so I would try not too give him too much attention right off the bat! :)
Having the right enviroment to live in and a steady supply of water and groceries he's going feel so much better at your house!

Good luck to both of you!
